Snugtop SL adjustment problem

Have a snuglid SL on a 2014 Tacoma. Something has come out of adjustment and I can't figure it out. When raising the cover more than about halfway up, the driver side front hinge pops out of the top of the bracket. To get hinge back into bracket, have to loosen handle almost all the way and apply a lot of force to hinge. Have not been able to figure out why this is happening or how to adjust it to fix. Not sure I am describing that clearly. Hope the attached pictures can make it more clear. Thanks for any ideas!
