Just purchased a new to us 2022 Grand Wagoneer for the wife while trading in her Escalade. I must say this thing is loaded to the gills...tech everywhere, leather everywhere, power everywhere lol. It's gonna take me a few days to figure out all the options. Long story short if anyone is considering a full-size luxury SUV so far this one is #1 on my list. Yes time will tell and I'm sure it will have it's issues but I'm pleased with it so far and more importantly she loves it.

My friend calls them a Jeep McIntosh Wagon. I'm told the McIntosh audio in them is phenomenal and that I would be jealous of it - stock or not.

Just make sure you keep the extended warranty up to date, and sell it before the warranty expires. Ask me how I know.

Every Dodge/Chrysler product my family has owned, from Jeep Grand Cherokees to various minivans to Rams, has had enough issues "covered under warranty" to convince us to sell before the warranty ran out. My Grand Cherokee went through FOUR differentials in TWO years, and had to have warranty work on the AC twice in that time as well. We keep the maintenance up and don't drive vehicles hard, though we do drive more miles than average.

I remember talking to someone about the Grand Wagoneer. I remember them saying Jeep had a proposal of making special accommodation lounges for the higher tier customers for the Wagoneer, and the future electric division while they waited for maintenance to be completed. This had been in the works for awhile, but don't think it will ever come to pass. It was interesting just to hear the concept of it. Sounded almost like the Steven's Creek Lexus where they have a completely different building across town for maintenance and parts. Granted they had limited space in San Jose.

When it first came out, during the Houston Auto show, Jeep brought maybe 3? (or was it 2) highest trim to the show for free test drives. Line were long but I sat in one and drove it. Not gonna lie, the amount of tech required is mind-blowing, some I don't mind having some I do mind wondering why. The ride was pretty awesome (city driving maybe a mile or less, so can't pump it) rear air suspension was pretty wicked. Space-wise, it would have been awesome as I have two kids, and sometimes my parents or wife's family would be in town, a full-size three row SUV would work dreams. Of course, it's huge, so anywhere outside Texas might be an issue with parking and all that.
Oh, I didn't check MPG as that wasn't really my issue test driving. But I would agree, sell it before the warranty/extended warranty runs out, I would hate to fix that on my own dime, however many that will take.

Did you have one of the new Wagoneers? We have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited currently that has had an oil seal on the front of the motor replaced at 74k miles and an AC condenser at 152k miles. Other than that, it's been trouble free, quiet and comfortable. My daughter has a 2015 Jeep Cherokee that I replaced one of the failed cam followers (the infamous Pentastar tick) when I did the spark plugs and already had the intake off. 25 min job, $8 lifter and $16 valve cover seal. It has also been trouble free otherwise.

    Thank you thank you.
Oh man let me tell you, that statement is 100% accurate. The sound system is top notch...
We got the series 3 which is essentially loaded to the gills, minus an rear entertainment option. There is tech galore and some I also wonder why. We have 3 kids and the space is great, can't wait to take it on our first road trip. Only had it a few days and are averaging 15 mpgs but I'm sure that number could be better but right now the wife and I are having fun testing the 6.4 Hemi around town. :burnrubber:

Last of the beefcake V8’s. The new ones will all be I6 Hurricanes. I’m ok with that, I love an inline 6. Silky smooth.

I just had a wagoneer as a rental. Not a grand but it was awesome. Wish it didn’t get a flat tire, now I have a shit denali Yukon. The wagoneer tech and comfort was pretty awesome. I assume the Grand is elevated. My only concern is reliability. I looked back at grand wagoneers a few months ago. Most the used ones here were manufacturer buybacks

No, I have completely given up on domestics and will change my mind only when they can demonstrate on a vast scale that their quality matches the quality of my Toyotas. And yes, Toyotas have had occasional issues, but they have been occasional, if not rare, and Toyota is usually very responsive in resolving the issues in later model years of the same design. My life is still busy enough that a needed repair on a vehicle in my family is a MAJOR inconvenience. I can opt out of a bunch of those inconveniences by buying a reliable brand that focuses on quality.

A few of the ones we were looking at had the hurricane in them, we just landed on one with the Hemi l. I would have been fine with either for sure.
I just had to give them a try, they are leaps and bounds above the Denali when it comes to tech and luxury look and feel. In all honesty even above the Escalade too which is what my wife loves (her last two vehicles). But I too noticed the large number of buybacks which didn't give me the best feeling. However I try not to keep the wife in a vehicle too long. I just feel a lot better when she's in a newer vehicle with lower mileage, gives me peace of mind. As many have mentioned and as I have with her past 3 vehicles we will trade her out of it in 3 or so years when the warranty runs out and the mileage goes up.

This is kinda the reason I've kept my 2nd gen for so long.... Family inconvenience is a big deal, especially for my oldest, 1 day of not going out will have us all running for the hills.

I have seen this option, just have not experienced it yet. If you don't like the crackling sound and look of a fireplace you also have the option of an aquarium or the aurora borealis.

Snapped some pics today...there are actually 5 different scenes you can play in the relaxation mode, each with it's own soft music over the speakers. These are my favs.

This is definitely going to be a game changer when in a city I'm not familiar with. I like it too. Also the "night vision" option is pretty badass too!

Please, no. I want to carry long lumber in the bed and partially in the all-hard-plastic cabin of my truck, and get only lumber scratched.

    Luxury is deceptive.

Here is a view from the "night vision" display on the dash. As you can see it works pretty good, pitch black out in the county and those mountains in the background are almost 30 miles away. Built into the feature is human and wildlife detection with emergency braking...

    Ok it’s the 500hp hurricane

    smooth as butter

too quiet! You can’t hear it or feel it

    tons of grunt.

but, you Tennessee folks decided to NOT make a straight road from Knoxville to gatlinburg!

so I have yet to go over 45

good tech, it’s the luxury edition

    but, look here…. It ain’t worth $100k

    Very impressed with the hurricane

Tell us you drive a Toyota, without telling us you drive a Toyota. I kid, I kid. That tech is so old, that’s how out of date Toyota tech is. The Germans have been doing that for years.
