Make no mistake: we have nugget 3.0 and 2nd gen Sequoia barely fits 5 of us. No dogs.

There will not be a 3.0.. pending things go as planned lol.
Wife has a 2022 Telluride and it fits the 4 of us plus dog no problem. I just dont want to always take her car with the kids or dog and leave her at home (The Crosstrek is a 6 speed and she hasnt driven a manual in 8ish years lol). So selling the truck to get the replacement is for extra functionality, but not really long distance road trips.

That new damage to the bed is unfortunate, the crease makes it mor difficult to manage without bondo. Remind me again, did you ever get 4LO working?

I agree, the low miles in intruiging, but also comes with its own potential drawbacks. Add in the damage, and if 4WD isn't fully working, I see why you're thinking $12. It's not like I don't think you could get more, because "cali truck" and "low mile", but ...

Yea it's a bummer.. My buddy owns a local detailing shop and has a PDR guy that he uses a lot. He passed his info along. The guy had me send the pics and said that he cant really do anything about that since it's so severe.. needs a body shop.

Yup, 4lo has been working totally fine. I think it was just that one time at our cabin, probably just at a perfect position to not lock into gear on a hill. Since that, ive gotten it into 4lo and drive around our neighborhood every 6-8 months just to get things flowing.

Yeah, any time you have a crease or metal deformity, you're basically limited on the repair. Some PDR guys will tell you, "can't do anything with it" if there's paint absent. The thing is, a PDR guy can potentially straighten the metal again, then you respray, but they usually won't because PDR relies on having paint intact, so you can see and push out the inconsistencies in the metal. If you look at the backside of a panel that's been PDR'd, you'll find it's pimpled. PDR itself relies on a little bit of flexibility that exists in paint to "smooth out" the appearance, making it look flat, when it's often not flat on the rear of the panel. Tough to do if the paint's not smooth.

Honestly, if I were you, I'd push that dent out from the backside (or pull with a $10 suction cup from scAmazon) so the metal can at least start working on recovering its natural memory, and getting itself as straight as it will. You'd be shocked at how much less-visible/less shocking-looking you can get that dent by simply popping it mostly out again.

Yea I thought about trying to push from the other side, and suction cup.
Ive got one in the garage, but couldnt get a good vacuum?? on it. Probably need a newer suction cup with some fresh rubber vs the one thats been sitting in my garage for who know how long lol.
If i try to push it from the back, can I gain access by removing the plastic tops/trim pieces that are on the side of the bed?

Going purely from memory here, but I feel like you should be able to access that spot by coming up from the corner of the bed. I remember looking up and over toward the fender well while I was down in the driver side corner working on installing the taglight DIR kit (disable in reverse; glare reduction for backup cam) @daveeasa sells.

ooo good call, would probably be a lot easier access.
I drove the truck over the a friends yesterday to borrow his first gen Sequoia to see how/if it would fit in the garage (played musical cars) and left it parked in the driveway vs tucking it away in the backyard.

In a nice surprise, the PDR guy actually wants to come out and pull as much out as possible.. He told me that it wont be perfect, and the hard crease will not come out.. but says he can absolutely make it better than current. He's going to come over tomorrow afternoon. Nice knowing people with local hookups!

PDR guy did wonders. He started on a Friday, and finished last Monday (been out of town for the holiday).

    lots of dents
If it's actually paint transfer on there, then lacquer thinner will take it right off. No, it won't damage the OEM red. Then polish the area afterwards.

Time to throw on those Lexus center caps and swap all of the "T" emblems to "L". Rappers love to rap about that Lexus truck.

Solid price, thanks for sharing. Good information to see where the current market is at. Wish you the best with the GX!
