So when I sign in I see the alerts say I have 5 (random number). I click on alerts and then click on one of the threads to go read it. So I am thinking when I get down reading that thread it should show I have 4 alerts left, Unless more of those original 5 were for the same thread. If 3 of those 5 alerts were for the same thread it should say I have 2 alerts left. That's where I am getting confused as the number of alerts left clears and not showing any when in fact there is still 2 alerts left unread.
I also belong to a BBQ forums (best on the internet in my opinion). and the alerts function works as I am describing. Is there a setting or something that I am missing so that the number of alerts left does not clear ?

    Thanks, Keith

PS. If question is confusing I will try to explain better.

It's always been like that as soon as you open one alert it clears the number only you can still pull down the remaining alerts

Yes, I understand that. The problem with that is, You go and read the first unread thread and then you get sidetracked. When you come back there is no reminder that you still have unread alerts left to go read. Some of us are getting older and have CRS, know what I mean
