    Sounds like it. But my question is, is it cheating if the emissions code was rigged in the beginning? Diesel emissions regulations in the US are based on a study that erred by some 300%. Yes, that's right - the data used to formulate the emissions regulations presented erroneous data to intentionally strangle future diesel emissions. It was caught and the EPA said, 'meh, too bad. We already have the regulations in play'.

    “Let this settlement be a lesson: We won’t let greedy corporations cheat their way to success and run over the health and wellbeing of consumers and our environment along the way,” California AG Rob Bonta said.

    Sounds like the dufus of the day... :rolleyes:

    Can’t say I blame these manufacturers. I wouldn’t be surprised if they put some of the profits aside for these kind of lawsuits.
