How do you use the term "biweekly? Once every two weeks or twice per single week?

Hmmm. . . I had never heard if being used as twice per week. "Bi-" indicates two of something, bicentennial (2 hundred years), bicycle (2 wheels), etc. If dividing the time period in two, I use "semi-". Apparently, though, this has been confusing for a very long time (I looked it up). I just have never heard "bi-" being used in place of "semi-" before.

Why be biweekly? So much better to be heterodaily!

Bi-weekly = every two weeks. Paid that way for a little over 25 years. Now once a month.

I’m paid bi-weekly and it’s every other week. Some months I get three pay checks. Bi-monthly would be twice in a month.

I have maintained for decades that there is no such thing as a stupid question.

I just say "every 2 weeks", or "every other week". It doesn't take much more energy or time to say than "bi-weekly".
Plus, I work with some pretty stupid people, so I try not to create situations for confusion.
    No offense to stupid people.
