I recently purchased a '15 Red Tundra DC with a hard tonneau cover on it. The truck is great and I love it. The one thing that bugs me though is the tonneau cover.

It is a bakindustries MX4. The panel closest to the tailgate has two sets of panel latches on it while the next panel doesn't have any on it. It doesn't match any of the pictures I've seen of other tonneau covers like mine.

Is it supposed to be like that? If not, is there a way to fix it?

Hmmm.... seems odd. I had a 3 panel not a 4 but each panel lached down. I think your best bet would be to contact Bak, not sure if you can add a latch to that 3rd panel easily or not.

Whomever put it together did it wrong. That first panel that latches (really the last panel since it starts at the rear window) should have latches at the very end at the tailgate side but the set of latches at the rear should not be there. Not sure how you get that open when it is closed since both latches have to be pulled to get it to open.

The latches are attached by self tapping screws and this is all from memory off the top of my head but simply unscrew it and move those latch to just the next place you show in your last pic. I could be wrong but Bak has the install instructions on their site

    What the hell??

My MX4 has a pull on each side, driver and passenger, at the rear edge of each of the three panels. You can release and fold each panel while standing outside the truck, and from either side.

3 panel verse 4 panel. I know there are differences but I had the 3 and it looked like yours.
