Not wanting to join any other message board (Thinking Badger and Blade although there is a wealth of info on there), I figured I would see if anyone else would like to share their setup.

I was running a Viking's Blade and used it for many years (https://vikingsblade.com/products/vikings-blade-godfather-safety-razor). It worked great.

It started to have some thread issues (it still works but not as good), so I ordered a new one: https://battlebrothers.com/products/mkii-double-edge-razor

It is night and day different.

First, it is shorter. I was not sure how I would like it since I have bigger hands, but I found that even with the longer handle of the GodFather, I was not holding the whole thing.

Second, it is lighter. Not a big deal.

Third, It had a better grip. The old one was very slick.

Fourth, The material just seems better to me.

What has taken me a little to get used to was the feel. It is more aggressive. A lot more. But I am learning and had a really decent shave the other night.

I have three blades I love: The Personna Blue's, Feather, and these: https://battlebrothers.com/products/double-edge-razor-blades

The Battle Brother's fit and cut feels a little between the Blue's and the Feather's.

As for soap, I order either Proraso, or some variant off ClassicShaving.com.

I just received a new brush and while I was using badger before, this is a synthetic and I kind of like it a little more.

That's all, just thought I would put this up and see what else you all run.
