Need some pro input on Power enrichment when running boost referenced. I'm trying my best not to run a "raped" PE table and would like to stick to a flatline multiplier, thus far only way to match commanded EQ is to adjust through out PE. Our problem is we have no VE table to adjust and just the MAF table. Usually I would adjust my MAF table curve to match PE but then this throws off light/partial drivability. Any pointers?

I have to deal with water/methanol coming on at 8psi so it throws PE around. I just have it set at 1.21until 3600 rpm then down to 1.17 or 1.18 until max rpm. I do dip into 9.9 but mostly in the lower 10 afr range mostly 10.3.
All other parameters are spot on by @snivilous so all I have to do is find a decent PE protocol. Just today I reset my torque tables, throttle to TB angle and PE several times on the side of the road.

Running meth that makes sense, you're wanting to cool at higher boost pressure. This damn truck is frustrating without Volumetric efficiency table. Just wonder how dudes are running boost referenced without a hacked to shit power enrichment table. For instance flatlined EQ ratio when I get into wot I can see fuel being dumped past my commanded EQ once boost is being made. Then the EQ tapers back dead nuts to commanded and the dips rich as shit as the boost maxes. I'm able to adjust but no way in hell I can run a flatlined ratio unless I'm just missing something:notsure:. For reference I have throttle at 35 degrees/30 disable, no delay, MAF dialed perfect @ -1+@ 4.38-5V

Boost referenced Harrop here, my PE table is not flat. It ramps up towards redline as the blower continues to make more boost vs RPM.

Interesting. Are you set flatlined starting and then EQ ratio taper rich towards redline? My problem is I get rich past my commanded EQ once boost hits, level out to commanded EQ and then rich to 6k. Was always told to set flatlined PE to my commanded and adjust MAF/VE until values hit but it looks like that may be impossible BR with our application.

It doesn't make sense but we just shoot for the best. I believe my throttle is se at 25 to 22deg as I am already making 4psi that low.
Don't pull too much of your hair out. Haha

Boost referenced 2650... Mine's not flat, but it's basically only 2 values, with it being a little leaner below 3200rpm. Holds actual AFR close enough to where it needs to be, although is does seem to vary +/- a tenth or three depending on the actual driving conditions. Based on how much it varies from pull to pull I'm not sure it's worth the effort to try to tweak every box and make it perfect, as long as it's in the mid-low 10's "zone".

I'll drop trying to match MAF curve to hit BR flatlined PE commanded, I find that it is impossible unless I'm missing something

Here's my current PE table. Not saying it's perfect, but seems to run pretty good. For the record, I have NOT touched the MAF curve at all to date.

Okay this makes me feel better for I have nowhere near a flatlined PE table with boost reference hitting my commanded EQ. Back in the day people who had VE/MAF/SD/PE tables always adjusted those first to hit their flatlined PE....but this was N/A/Turbocharged applications with tables we just don't have in HP...... No issues with weather/altitude changes that you have noticed?

I have to decrease as I get into the higher rpms because of the W/M injection.

I've had it up to 10,000' without any issues. It's a couple hundred feet here in TX I think, runs great here. Haven't been in much cold tho, I did remote start it at 15 degrees to see if it would, but didn't drive around.

My PE values are pretty close to @VWTim with where I have IC and MAF values currently set to. @Mdl looks like you have way more headroom running meth:eek2::thumbsup:@Mdl you currently are not boost referenced correct?

I have a friend selling a JB-4 basic meth kit, I keep thinking of picking it up to go with the 77.5mm.

If I come across a reservoir and kit for a good deal I'd go for it especially for how rich we have to run on gas.

Thanks, but it is @snivilous tuned! He dialed in my maf and timing and fuel spot on for my 4.5 inch intake. I just needed to get the PE under control since I added w/m and went boost referenced.

Found this the other day ... Sounds like this guy has a similar issue as what I'm facing with random lean/Rich issues.

Thoughts? How do I really test the SAIS to see if this is the issue? And, if it is, how to fix? Bypass?

    Tia!!

@Grenades4Bacon The 2nd and 2.5 Gen systems are pretty sensitive and will throw codes if it's stuck open or closed. Hewitt tech will talk with you and you run the issue by them.
You can bypass it by yourself with an added resistor to tell it its below a certain temp, DIY. I did the diy with block off plates.
Early 2nd gens do well with rutech but 2.5's are hit and miss. Either Hewitt bypass or Rutech.

What’s all this? Is anyone familiar with this product? Kind of a cool idea, but I don’t understand how it plays with a supercharged and custom tuned truck.

Fwiw, I removed the SAIS system on my s/c'd Tacoma. It's much easier to access on that truck. The Tundra has two pumps unlike the Taco. Both have this foam filter on the intake side of the pump that can deteriorate over time and get sucked into the pump. Popular mod is to do a filter relocate and replace with a uni filter

The SAIS only operates for a few seconds and under certain conditions at startup, and then briefly at shutdown. Your truck is unlikely to even be in Closed Loop when it does, so you're O2 readings aren't going to mean squat. If there's something that's malfunctioning with the SAIS, it'll pop a related code.

Yes - but, within the post at the link I provided the guy found a pin hole in the valve diaphragm....and, that was allegedly the problem that caused the random rich/lean issue

Yep. That was on a 2UZ engine too. So he had a vacuum leak. The 3URs don't use vacuum to operate the SAIS. I'm totally a fan of the Hewitt bypass though, it was one of the very first things I installed on my truck. I totally support you installing it, but to be honest, I'd be very surprised that it sorts your issue.
