    Just a bit. LOL.

Gold crew was another good read. read Blind Man's Bluff nearly 25 years ago. My dad gave it to me. He was mostly a boomer sailor during his 12 years active duty and another 10 or so in the reserve.

Yep, pains manageable. Two weeks until rehab, just changed out the bandages for the first time

    Good to hear..
If they didn't tell you, a tip for pain meds:
Take stool softeners while taking opiate pain meds, you'll thank me later...:cool:

When I had my back surgery 2 years ago, they had me taking vitamin supplements and stool softener daily for a week before the surgery.
Those stool softeners sure came in handy when taking the pain meds...

Doc says I won’t be healed for 3 months at least. No reason to rush through rehab. My workers comp lady thinks I should stay out to the new year. I’m aiming September

Stay on top of your pain, Andy. A lot of ppl drop off too soon and it can creep up on ya quick. Then you’re fighting a losing battle trying to get on top of it again

I'm with the workers comp lady.
As long as you're getting a comp wage that pays the bills take your time.
    You earned this...:D

I was out 8 months with my back issues and surgery 2 years ago.
Although I only got $500 a week on disability, a fourth of my regular paycheck.
But I went back to work in better overall shape than when I left.
Unfortunately, back to 13-hour days and that better shape quickly diminished.

I'm hoping to bid on a run with fewer hours in the annual bid in April.....:D
    I'm getting tired of those 13-hour days 5 days a week.:eek2:

Comp is 60% of regular salary, but I can supplement with my sick time, with over 600 hours on the books, I’m more than good for awhile. I’m using about 2 days a week to stay close to full pay. I’m also earning hours of while I’m out.

    That is good.
Rehab isn't easy, but it's better than being at work.
Enjoy your time spent at home with the family.
When you get to feeling better do those things around the house you never had time for.

Don't forget your 'rating' once you're done w/rehab prior to returning to work; they are often significantly understated, and it's not uncommon to require at least a consult w/attorney to get them to bump it to a reasonable quote...
