Does holding a laundry basket make you less susceptible to hearing? Asking for a friend

 

Because, they want to know you value them more than anything else… or they are still pissed about the last thing you did wrong.

BTW they didn’t tell you what that was.

 

I said just to piss you off because really it depends on the mood of my wife. Some days it’s to fuck with me, some it’s to piss me off, some just because she can. It just depends.

 

Mine starts to ask me a question (usually when I'm heading to the bathroom) and then in the middle of the question, she just stops. Then she gets mad at me when I say "and...?!"

 

And?

 

Wife: Which outfit do you like x or y?

Me: I like x

her: comes out of the bedroom in y

Every single time but she still asks.

 

My wife knows her stories are too long when I start taking little steps backwards, and by the time she finishes, I've been able to completely exit the room.

 

Where's the option for they're just not observant enough to figure out that it's a bad time?

 

For my wife, I think it's because if she thinks of something, it has to happen at exactly that second. She does this with everything.

An example of an average evening in our house:

I get home from work and say hi to the wife and kids, who have spent the day together.

Me: How about I play with the kids while you make supper?
Wife: That would be wonderful, thank you.

Ten minutes later, once she has everything cooking and in a state where it needs watching/stirring/ ingredients added/whatever, she'll decide she needs to go across the street to check the mail or out to the garage to look for that thing we'll need next week or down to the basement to play with the toddler and I'll have to start making supper if I want something edible within the next 3 hours.

Then she has the audacity to complain that she always has to watch the kids and I always "get to" make supper and do tasks like that.
