Please advise on what to do/visit.
I'm traveling with my 8yo daughter.
We're staying at downtown/city center district.

Definitely take her to Dealey Plaza and the museum there. Check to dates and times the museum is open so you catch them when they're open. I took my wife there. She's from NJ and had never been there before.

We also strolled into Neiman-Marcus to look around. They actually have a champagne vending machine in the store just in case you MUST have your champagne right then and there.

Eat at Pepe's and Mito's - 2911 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas 75226, where they put Mex back into the Tex :) Trust me, you will like the food there, very authentic

When my wife and I were dating we stayed at the Ft Worth Hilton where Kennedy stayed before going to Dallas. The next day we went to Dealey Plaza and went to the Sixth Floor museum. If you are lucky the conspiracy theory guys will be there handing out pamphlets.
As far as the other 2 days…go to Ft Worth.

Not sure if you be there to catch a Stars game but I'd put that on the bucket list. Can't go wrong with a NHL game.

O yeah I remember taking my kids there. And then you have the Great Wolf Lodge as well which is fun even for an adult

This! Struggled finding parking the weekend I visited there before, but it was great in the end. Went for sweet potato fries I was craving...but ended up staying there even longer for the burgers.

I keep hoping they’ll put one in Austin… If you are ever cruising through Central Texas and are looking for an amazing burger on a budget, look for P. Terry’s.

For an 8 year old daughter, I’d take her to the Perot Museum and the Dallas World Aquarium.
