Finally saw a Cybertruck

I’ve seen it twice this week. Once at HD and once at Lowe’s. Parked in the loading zone both times because that’s where Elon said in the manual you’re supposed to park it. I took a few quick pics. The fingerprints were kind of jarring, maybe they were there to get the fridge stainless spray stuff.

 

Someone forgot their new fridge in a parking spot, hopefully they come back!



Joking aside Ive seen a few around here driving and when they’re coming towards you they do look like rolling refrigerators. From behind they look very strange since the body is angled. From the side far away I immediately noticed the fingerprints as well. The hoovies garage video that just came out was funny in comparing a DeLorean to a CyberTruck while towing it.

 

Never seen one in person. I can't tell the scale of them in the videos, how they compare to an f150 (or Tundra). Looks car-sized

 

They are uglier in person than in pictures.

 

Ya it’s like a fridge with no handles. Needs to come with Cybergloves.

 

I was not going to stop walking and look too closely, but it seemed like maybe the size of a Tacoma, maybe slightly longer wheelbase

 

Have seen 2 different ones up here in summit. Pretty sure because I saw one pulling a trailer and 40 minutes later one without a trailer.

And I can't stop seeing this when I see them.

Comparable to a Ridgeline with a wider and longer whee base and bigger tires.

 

I’ve seen a couple of em, look dumb as hell.

 

Ha! Yup, I'd agree.

There was one driving around town last week - first one I've seen in person. By the end of the week, the driver's door was caved in like they'd turned in to a parking pylon.

 

...the repair bill for that

 

I told my kids, the cyber truck looks like google AI was asked to design a comically fake electric car

 

They’re full size truck sized. Someone at my customer’s facility has one that I see regularly. They’re uglier in person

 

I wonder how big wheels you can go without a lift.

 

I bet you could stuff 37's on it.

 

Also in the parking lot, should have got a back side photo. A real nice truck.

 

Upon my first spotting of one in the wild on Monday, I reached exactly the same conclusion.

 

Talk about the polar opposite of a Cybertruck, that thing is sweet.

 

Saw one at a super charger station in Hermosa Beach, CA.. not impressed..

 

And parked like a badass in a regular spot.

 

I’ve seen a couple around here. Gotta be honest: I love it. And I think it’s hilarious that it is real.

We all used to draw tanks and trucks with missles being fired at each other when we were kids. That’s what this looks like to me—someone held on to that childlike idea of a cool futuristic truck and decided to actually build it.

It’s like those pics “if your kids’ drawings of animals were real” except it’s a truck that actually exists with 2500 lbs of payload, 10k+ ft lbs of torque, and more acceleration than nearly anything else imaginable.

Absolutely jaw droppingly hilarious to me. He did it. He really did it.

 

I wonder if ppl will try to paint them eventually. Or clearcoat. Trying to imagine how this thing makes it through winter without being a PITA

 

I think you’re spot on — it’s divisive but I can’t help but appreciate what it took to get it to a Lowe’s near me. Take that China.

 

But does it have tow hooks, and if not, how much do those run.

 

Saw one this week at the Topgolf here in Charleston. It's uglier in person. I jokingly said that it's the 2024 Pontiac Aztec.
