Does your phone block the vent? It's so hard to tell...

Might. Depends on phone. With my ICS and the claw style holder, if I set the phone low on it, it blocks the vent. I have an S22 ultra though...bigger phone

Installed my passenger side Tundra branded Swingcase this morning. Took my time measuring and drilling, everthing went on smoothly. Very nice unit and makes good use of the space between wheel well and tailgate. I like it, have the driver’s side on back order. 6.5’ bed, works great. Thx to all who helped me during my research

Where did you get that dash cover?
    It’s a great idea.

What's the best way to convert the dash cigarette lighter (behind the display) into a USB port? I'd prefer a hard wired fix vs. a plug-in adapter. Any thoughts? Thanks again!

I found a flush mount 2 usb adaptor that looks like a hard wired usb plug.

far easier solution than doing a full replacement

I believe the part you want is PT948-34240-02. It’s for the Limited and includes the “Limited” emblems for the C pillars, but I don’t think you can get the matte finish “sombrero” emblem any other way.

I use the lighter plug for power to Dell Laptop, that's why I chose to go all the way to the dash USB Type A socket.

I went with ICS, a little pricey but seems pretty solid.

Finished the matching driver’s side Toyota branded Swingcase install. They make quite a nice pair. Recently had to remove the cases to fit an irregular item and that process was easy. Glad to have these, have loaded them with tools and other smaller gear, leaving more space under the seats for other equipment.

I hadn't seen these and they would work for me instead of a bedcover. I watched the video of the F150 install. How was the Gen3 install? Could you use existing bolt holes or did you have to drill the bed? Thanks

@BoulderGT3 re your questions, the gen3 Tundra swingcase install is very similar to the F150 install. Here is a link to the install in a Tundra TRD Pro. Watch this video as well as the other ones online and you’ll have a good idea of how to do it. Drilling is required.

Be sure to print out the template and get the hole locations just right, very impt. I did not remove all the taillight cabling, just placed each light on stands while I worked and then replaced the lights.

I have the OEM bedliner which is tricky to drill through with pinpoint accuracy, watch your pilot holes (which are hard to see in the bedliner). If you get your holes drilled properly you are good to go.

I took my time and probably spent about 2 to 2.5 hrs per case just to get everything perfect. I have found these to be excellent cases that are easily holding 30+ lbs of tools each and swinging/locking very well. Do use paint to coat the inside of every hole to avoid rust.

print this PDF, the last 2 pages are the template

No need to go through all the trouble to do that, get a flush mount plug like this, I use it and it only protrudes barely a quarter inch.

You have the spray on bedliner like I do. Do you really need the rubber mat too? I see one used one forsale locally for $80 oem too.

@BigTexasTundra thanks for your post! At first I felt the same way, didn’t think a mat was needed as I have the OEM spray on bedliner. I read some posts about how the bedliner, through tough is certainly not immortal (impervious!) and some tasks like using a shovel, or dragging heavy cargo can actually scrape off sections of it. The mat is, for me fantastic as I can beat up on it with all sorts of gear knowing that the bedliner is there to provide additional protection below. Already the mat has taken punctures that while they didn’t hurt the mat, may have damaged the bed liner. All in all if you can pick one up used or new I would go for it. Looks great too.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll see if I can get the one from that guy locally then. Not sure if $80 is a good price, I'll look up to see what it is new.
