Still my favorite color on Gen3 Tundras.
    Really tastefully done.

It can get hot in the sun, but charges fast so doesn’t have to stay up there long

I was on the phone with Toyota Corporate. They told me that the "blown motor" issue was resolved in March 2023. Can anyone confirm or deny? I have a 2024 Tundra Limited 4x4 (non hybrid of course) and I want to see if any new 2024s have had the issue. If so, I'm calling Toyota out for lying to my face.

Just becouse a vehicle is on the list does not indicate it's the same root cause. By the way, most engines are seized, not blown as a vent hole in the block.
    Here. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17lX2NAC70TUArOpvdH7IQJKCX5E50vAXpeUogyH5shM/htmlview

FYI you are in a thread for discussion of accessories.

The official answer from Toyota is that it was an issue caused by debris left in the engine. The process was apparently changed such that if your build date is after 2/13/23 your truck should not be affected by this debris issue. If your build date is before this, then your vehicle is part of the recall. The remedy is still TBD. See the report below.

Installed my dash mount and Lasfit wireless charger along with my custom snail armor tailgate panel and Charvonia tie downs. I keep my arms on the mount folded backwards which allows me to rotate my phone sideways when not in use or to see things horizontally. Doesn’t block my vent at all and wire is hidden behind the phone. Next up is Diode Dynamics fogs. :)

Where did you get the tail gate cover? Is that Toyota product? If so, could I trouble you for a model number? Thank you.

I got on eBay and checked out that listing last night. I noticed there were some other $27.99 listings for what look like the same product. One of them was actually even the same seller as the link you posted. I submitted an offer for $22, and he had accepted it when I woke up this morning. Dirt cheap

Hi @JDBell thank you for your post! I DO have the plug in power outlet in my truck bed. I have not used it since installing the swingcase. Now you’ve got me worried. I will test it and share my findings. Really hope I didn’t pierce any wiring and mess it up.

Here's the ball mount I used for my ESR:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FPNH4FG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

There are others similar to this one, but basically you need a 17mm ball to interface with the ESR with the bolt-on AMPS pattern

Look in this thread for more ideas:

Every part that I used are listed at the bottom. If you order those parts you will have it all. Two of the parts come from ProClip and used the screws that come with the ball mount to screw into the proclip mount that attaches to the dash

On the Mag safe you remove the clip that attaches to the air vent at the ball. You will not need that portion. Then attached to the ball mount that you got from Pro Clip.

Just ordered both the Dome light and the Map lights. Installation looks easy. Just can't stand the weak ass lights.

Had both map and dome lights on my 2016 Tundra ... quality lights and never had a problem. Way better than older halogens, but still debating if it's a need on my 24. Just sat in dark garage testing out and the oems seem ok to me. Sure Meso's will be an upgrade though just for dual lights alone.

Installed both today. Pretty happy with it. Probably took one to two hours total (just watching some preseason football and taking my time). I would say it's easy and frustrating at the same time. Couple notes I recommend:

    1. If you have one of those Carbon Fiber Overlays (or whatever material) covering your map light portion, you will have to remove it in order for the pieces to clip off. It wasn't hard to remove the 3M sticker and I was lucky enough to be able to stick it back on at the end.
    2. Make sure you have a couple extra Toyota Panel Retainer clips beforehand cause one or two will probably break when you remove the map light panel construction. Also, when you push it back in, don't force it. If it's not pushing in, it's probably because the retainer clips are too far forward. MOve it back a little bit (or move it around) so it lines up with the hole.

The back dome light one was easy af. Just use a straight plastic pry tool and slide it under and push each clip one by one.

Either way, I like the way it looks. I have to see how bright it is at night time. But already, even in the daytime, it's super bright.
