Hello I’m searching for someone to paint match my Trd hood scoop 1g3 magnetic grey metallic for a reasonable price. Finding it difficult to find someone in my area. Sacramento, Ca Roseville,Ca does anyone know of a decent painter who could do this? One shop I talked to said painting bare factory plastic parts are double around $680 because it requires “chemistry” procedure for paint prep and for the paint to adhere. Kind’ve got the idea I was being taken for a ride somewhat. Looking for someone honest to do a good job and be fair.

My wife got the kit from sparksparts for my birthday. She thought it came painted

If someone could help that’d be great thank you!

    have a great 4th

Talk with local collision centers or do a Google search for an auto paint supply store. Talk to them and see if they have any shops.

I even stopped at a Shermin Williams and talked to them in person and they directed me to a good auto paint supply store, I was painting my parts but I was struggling to find a local place to mix my paint.

All I can suggest is to call around and get multiple quotes if you are suspicious of that price.

There are over 6 shades of MGM.

I just went thru this with mine.

Any decent automotive paint shop can get very close, but it will take some trial and error.

Unfortunately, Chroma Base paint is the best chance at getting a very close match, it's also the most expensive, I'm sorry to say.

Painting plastic isn't rocket science, they feeding you shit.
