Now that I’ve received the new 1794 LE I want to add some upgrades and mods. I saw a post on air bags on fb, and a recommendation for the Airlift 5000 Ultimate. I don’t know jack about air bags & suspension, so wanted to get some quick opinions and info from the masterminds here…

    1) Is it noticeably beneficial? I might carry 1000 lbs in the bed + tow a 5000-6000 lb boat on long road trips 5-6 times per year. My bmw has adjustable air suspension which is handy… just don’t know what to expect from the truck as-is

    2) Does it work with the 1794 LE suspension, lift, shocks?

    3) Is there an alternative brand or solution I should consider?

    Thanks for the help!

I have the airlift 5000 ultimate bags. Really helps level the truck when loaded heavy. Adding the bags gave about an inch of lift in the back (unloaded) and I added track bar relocation bracket to address Pan hard angle. I like them and can't complain as I already had adjustable coilovers up front, but would have been surprised at the extra height if my front was stock.

I'm a big fan on Firestone Ride Rites; both the product and company support are A+. They are great for adjusting the spring rate for varying loads. 1000 lbs of payload handles great with the, and trailering is improved, IMO. I've had them installed on my Gen 2 for several years.

Yes, I was surprised by the 1in lift from stock height. Ride changed too, bit more truck lie.
Can you share info on the track bar relocation bracket?

This is what I used. Easy install. The lower hole put me back in line and ride is much less stiff. I think axel is about 1/4 inch towards passenger side, but I can live with that for now.

Not cheap, but well made and I would trust it to hold up... Which is important to me when it comes to suspension
