IMG_0178.png Anyway I ordered these. If y’all are wondering the oil filter cap socket for the Hondas fit this filter. I ordered a socket years ago for my wife’s Honda Pilot but never had used it…till now. Hoping to change the factory fill with 1700 miles in a few days. Going with Amsoil SS 0W20 if y’all care.

Yep they keep small for a reason, the by pass valve is a certain psi and oil pressure needs to stay up hence the smaller filter. The material surface area could the same- most Japanese makes use excellent filters from toyo roku or denso, also I use wix xps for synthetic oils. The toyota ones are good but if your worried about use a wix.

Thanks. Since I paid for the maintenance plan up to 85K. I’m changing the oil at 5K intervals. One by me and the other by the dealer.

Toyota and Wix XP’s are some of the lowest efficiency filters out there

Okay, lol. I don't run an xp wix in the Tundra. I run motul 5w30 with wix xp filters on a sti which gets changed every 6 months based on time not miles.the wix xp is one of the few filters that hits subarus ej by pass which will not filter any oil regardless of the filter especially at 5-7k RPMs.

I would have no problem running a denso or toyo roku on my tundra but toyota recommends mobile 1 so I will run toyota filers especially under warranty.

I know how the Subaru people liked their WIX. I owned a Legacy GT Spec B.

No one accounts for the fact that other filters may have media with lower pressure delta and don’t need such a high bypass pressure.

Regardless, WIX XP’s and Toyota filters consistently test pretty low on efficiency

Could you please ask your service advisor if spark plug change is included in the maintenance package that you got? My SA says that it won't be included for some reason, so wanted to get second opinion from someone who also bought the maint package

Just wait a dang minute. 2022+ Tundra's use spin on filters, not cartridge?

I was told the major maintenance was included. I’ll ask the service advisor if it is.

Something that helps on these is getting a couple feet of silicone hose about 1/2" or 15mm ID. The filter has a small tray with a drain tube port below it. Hooking the hose to it helps eliminate any oil mess from the filter.

Not to drink the Toyota Koolaid and blindly believe everything they do is the best?
