just another account with no activity other than 1-3 messages to complain about things, as you put it, they should have noticed before they bought it. I do have the common tailgate gap, but all my other panels and gaps are even

    You're right!

How to make dough in the automotive craft? take an old reliable model, replace expensive steel parts by flimsy plastic ones. Boost prices, use an abuse of NEW, and do not forget to sprinkle it with new mysterious electronic acronyms.

Then blame the EPA for it, recall for software updates quarterly, and sell the spares at golden or even platinum prices.

I just change the cabin air filter and paid double than a same size for a car, as it is for the luxus of a Tundra.

    Lots of stuff!
This is a strange statement to post!

Many of the owners who bought Tundras and are now under a recall have a lot riding on this outcome. Our money and time are valuable and you come across as someone who gets their kicks watching others suffer through no fault of their own.

My suggestion to you is to be part of the solution...

Thank you for the responses guys. Just to be clear, there were no Tundras to look at when I ordered my Tundra. That is how much confidence I had in Toyota. I ordered it sight unseen thinking it was a no brainer, since it is a Toyota.
Please don't discount my disappointment with my truck, because my concerns are real. Go look at your own rig and let me know if I am wrong with what I see. I only hope Toyota can fix these shortcomings so when I am ready to buy my next truck it will once again be a Tundra.

Today, I washed the bed, too much dust, despite the tonneau cover; the reason is the gaps on the L & R of the tailgate.

My truck doesn't have those gaps, fortunately. I also installed additional weather stripping around the tailgate opening. It didn't eliminate all the dust, but it helped. My previous 2008 and 2015 Tundras had the same dust in the bed problem. Not sure why manufacturers can't do a better job of sealing the tailgate.

All I am getting out of this is you didn't inspect it upon arrival, now find manufacturing flaws and are venting on a forum rather than at the dealer demanding it be corrected.

Mine has tailgate gaps and they are even on both sides. I've accidently closed the tailgate and the gaps prevented things from pinching. There are sealers if people need a perfect seal.

Gaps like this is pretty common across the board for Toyota. Go to the 3rd Gen Tacoma forum and see how many people bitched about panel gaps. I’m not saying it’s right for Toyota to do that, but it’s been known for years Toyota has bad panel gaps at time. With how expensive these trucks are you expect it to be perfect but anything mass produced will have quality issues in some of the trucks rolling off the line.
