I was first introduced to scotch when I was invited to a guided tasting hosted by Chivas Regal. That was about 23 years ago and I had tried a few over the years since then. Then my wife and I visited Scotland for our 15th wedding anniversary last fall, toured Oban and Holyrood while there plus stopped at a couple other distilleries. I nerd out on the history and process so it was very cool to see some of these places. I like to research brands that never make it out of Scotland or the UK and have ordered a couple bottles to have shipped to the US. If you visit Scotland many of the distilleries will have stuff you can only get at the distillery, similar to distilleries here. Current stock is heavy on Oban plus Talisker, and a couple of others.
