2000-2001 Tundras were pretty straightforward. You either had the VIP RS3000 or you didn't. Current Toyota part number for replacement (2 button) fob: PT398-07101 with FCC ID BAB237131-056.

2002 Tundra was weird. It still utilized the RS3000, but split it into two configurations:
    • RKE: Keyless entry only. Lacks the status monitor (LED & glass sensor mic), glass break sensor ECU, and has the ignition interface connectors unplugged by default. Installed at factory.
    • VIP RS3000 Plus: Keyless entry & alarm. Complete package. Installed at port/dealer.
Both use the same fobs. Current Toyota part number for replacement (2 button) fob: PT398-07101 with FCC ID BAB237131-056.

2003-2006 Tundras were also weird. Certain types of keyless entry were exclusive to the Double Cab and vice-versa:
    • 2003 All Tundras: The factory-installed system is the VIP RS3200. Current Toyota part number for replacement (3 button) fob: 08191-00922 with FCC ID BAB237131-056.
    • 2004-2006 Standard & Access Cab: The factory-installed system is the VIP RS3200. Current Toyota part number for replacement (3 button) fob: 08191-00922 with FCC ID BAB237131-056.
    • 2004-2006 Double Cab: The factory-installed system has no formal name. Current Toyota part number for replacement (3 button) fob: 89742-0C020 with FCC ID HQ12BBX.
2007-2012 Tundras, also pretty straightforward. Current Toyota part number for replacement (3 button) fob: 89742-AE010 with FCC ID GQ43VT20T.

2013-2017 Tundras, ditto. Current Toyota part number for replacement (3 button) fob: 89742-AE011 with FCC ID GQ43VT20T. (Not sure what the difference is other than the part number)

2018-2021 Tundras have both standard keyless entry and Smart Key available:
    • Standard keyless entry: 89070-0R121 with FCC ID GQ4-52T.
    • Smart Key system (2020-2021): 89904-0E091 FCC ID HYQ14FBA.
2022-present Tundras have Smart Key standard across all models. Current Toyota part number for replacement smart keys: 8990H-0C010/11 or 8990H-0C020 or 8990H-0C030 with FCC ID HYQ14FBX.

    More info to come....

Note that keyless-entry only RS3000 and RS3200 installations can be modified/upgraded to enable the security portion of the system.

    Part 4: Terminology

    General definitions:
    • RKE = Keyless entry-only accessory or installation.
    • TVIP V2 = Glass breakage sensor add-on kit for factory alarm.
    • TVIP V3 = Keyless entry & security system all-in-one kit.
    • TVIP V4 = Remote engine starter kit.
    • TVIP V5 = Security system add-on kit for factory RKE.
In context of VIP RS3000 (1st gen only):
    • RKE = partial configuration installed at the factory where only keyless entry is enabled. The status monitor and glass breakage sensor ECU are absent, but all the wiring is present. The ignition connector is not connected. (See above 2002 Tundra Remote Keyless Entry Programming for more info)
    • TVIP V3 = complete keyless & security package installed at port or dealership, also available for owners to purchase and install themselves. Vehicles without factory keyless entry only.
    • TVIP V5 = upgrade kit for RKE to enable security. Installed at the port or dealership for vehicles already equipped with factory-installed RKE, also available for owners to purchase and install themselves. This distinction only exists for marketing purposes. TVIP V3 and TVIP V5 are otherwise identical.
In context of VIP RS3200 (1st gen only):
    • RKE = partial configuration installed at the factory where only keyless entry is enabled. The status monitor and some of the wiring are absent.
In context of factory RKE (all Tundras):
    • TVIP V2 = upgrade kit to add a glass breakage sensor. Installed at the port or dealership for vehicles already equipped with a factory alarm system, also available for owners to purchase and install themselves.
    • TVIP V4 = upgrade kit to add a remote engine starter. Installed at the port or dealership for vehicles already equipped with factory RKE, also available for owners to purchase and install themselves. Integrates with factory RKE so no extra remotes are necessary.
    • TVIP V5 = upgrade kit to add a security system. Installed at the port or dealership for vehicles already equipped with factory RKE, also available for owners to purchase and install themselves. Integrates with factory RKE so no extra remotes are necessary.
I hope this is informative and/or helpful.

Part 5: Gulf States Toyota / Southeast Toyota Distributors dealer-/distributor- installed keyless or alarm systems

    Gulf States Toyota:
    • Arkansas
    • Louisiana
    • Mississippi
    • Oklahoma
    • Texas
    Southeast Toyota Distributors:
    • Florida
    • Georgia
    • Alabama
    • North and South Carolina
    Keyless/alarm system identification:

Also check for this sticker on the driver and front passenger side windows:

These unofficial Toyota distributor and dealer installed systems also came in quite a few configurations.
    • Keyless entry-only. This usually came on modern (2000s+) base model cars without factory RKE. These systems have the main ECU with the black wire antenna and the ELVATDD-style remote fobs; NO shock sensor or security light.
    • Keyless entry & security. This was the most common form of this system. Earliest known installations went back as far as 1997, possibly even older. These have the main ECU with the black wire antenna, shock sensor, security light/valet switch, and the ELVAT6B-style remote fobs.
    • Upgrade security system. This was the rarer system, also came on modern (2000s+) cars. These systems have the main ECU without the black wire antenna or remote fobs, and with the shock sensor and security light/valet switch. You'll know you have this if you have the red security light/valet switch and factory/OEM Toyota remote fobs.
The user manuals are attached below.
