Build thread for the new to me 2019 Silver Sky CM

    Purchased:
    • Date: 6.28.2024
    • Miles: 45500 miles
    • 2.25 inch front spacer lift up front and 1.5 block for the rear (this will be one of the first things addressed, parts are already ordered/installed depending on when this is read)
    • 20" XD wheels (not a fan, will eventually be putting on SCS 18" SR8s)
    • 35x12.50r20 Nitto Grapplers

    Bought it to replace both of my 1st gen Tacoma's (2003 Turbo'd 3.4:burnrubber:175k and 1997 Stock 3.4 365k)

    Day I brought it home:

So far loving the upgrade! Plans for this truck is to gain back a reliable daily driver as well as capable mountain vehicle for our camping and exploring of all the places Utah and surrounding states have to offer.

    Installed:
    • Bed Rack
    • 23Zero 62" Walkabout RTT and annex room (replacing my Tepui Kukeman)
    • Plasti Dipped badges and debadged the tailgate 4x4
    • ESP Under Seat Storage
    • Dasaita Android 13 Head Unit
    • RCI Sliders
    • Pro Truck Coilover Kit Stage 2R
    Ordered:
    • Cancelled/Indifinite back order --- Toytec Adjustable 1-1.5" Lift Shackles with Spring Bushings
    Future:
    • SCS SR8 wheels
    • 285/75-18 - Most likely BFG ATs or Wildpeaks when the time comes.
    • Coachbuilder +1 or +2 depending on where I settle with the Eibach's, currently at preset +2inch from stock.
    • More to come I am sure :)

Had to go test it out! Mirror Lake highway/Uintas for a quick 1 nighter to get out of the heat surge we had going on.

The 5.7 iForce one is going to come off though, just looks like a black square from not very far away even...

    Annex installed and tested!

Purchased the smaller Teton cot off Amazon (75x25) and it fits in there nicely with enough room to still move around and store other things if needed.

Another quick one nighter up the Uintas with the fam, passed along my old Tepui to the son so he got to go test his new set up out too.

So much better than stock, like how it allows for things behind it as well not sliding out. During the install I definitely could have done with a better tool to cut out the foam (just used a spackle knife essentially), but all in all it came out well and fits in there nice and snug). Haven't notice any additional road noise, but I did peel off the backing from the carpet and placed it underneath the container before installing. I may go back in and use some spray in foam but we will see.

Note to self, don't keep DEET bug spray in the cup holders within the door panel:

Apparently it tipped over and leaked, found its way down to the Door Seal protector and melted it... door panel and everything else seems to be ok, just that foot seal damaged...

Truck is looking awesome my man! I am definitely wanting to add some underwear storage when these car seats are out of my truck

    Keep up the great work!

Installed Dasaita 13 HU, mainly for android auto but it defiantly makes the stock system sound better! Liked it so much, got one for the wife Rav4 as well.

Also, got some goodies from Hotshot Offroad! Just need to find the time to get things installed, but may wait until I decide if I am going to pull the trigger on JBA upper control arms or not...

Finally got around to getting the Eibach Stage 2s installed.

Didn't realize how nose high I was with the 2.25 spacer lift the dealership installed. Installing the Eibachs put me to +2 over stock, so dropped me back down about 2 inches or so from that spacer lift. I gotta say it is a much nicer ride for sure, and the steering isn't floating anymore. I do miss some of the height, so I may dial the Eibachs up a bit more to get closer to the 2.5 - 2.75 lift they can achieve. Depending on where I settle in the front, I will either go with Coachbuilder +1 or +2 to get ride of the current 1.5 block back there.
