I had new tires put on a while back and it was time to rotate when I found 10 of the lug nuts on the drivers side swollen.

I checked out McGard and purchased their lug nuts. They are different than the originals and was wondering if they are good to go.

    Thanks

It would be good if you also posted a picture (close up) of your wheel(s).

They are the stock 20” aluminum wheels

I think the OEM wheels require that flat washer style lug nut like OEM, not conical seat.

If you have the stock 20" wheels, you need the lugs on the top. The bottom one is for some aftermarket wheels.

Well, I’ll have to switch them back to the originals then. For some odd reason they weren’t swollen when I switched them out today. I wonder if their impact made the lug pudge out.

Yep. Your McGards are a no go.

If there's a phone number call McGard's customer service dept/person.

I did that with Gorilla when I wanted to replace my lugs. Their website had too many choices and it was hard to interpret. I got dude on the actual voice-to-voice line, he was product literate, we talked it through and I had a part #. Ordered them online and they were perfect.

Absolutely do not use the acorn nuts. I bought my 2010 and the guy had found nice alloy factory wheels to replace
the old rusty steelies. He just used the same acorn nuts. So I get home and swap them over to the other truck when
I realize the acorns are definitely wrong. This could have had catastrophic consequences!! I've had a wheel come off
at speed when a shop failed to use correct torque and correct nuts. I got lucky.
Those alloy wheels are designed with the flat washer lug nuts in mind.
Good news - the one thing wrecking yards don't care about, and have a million of is lugnuts. I got a full set of
20 for $50. New Flat Washer Lugnuts run over $17 ea!! So go to a wrecker and pick them up off the ground, they
    will thank you.
