Updated Nitto Tire Coming Soon/ Terra Grappler G3's

Nitto is releasing a new tire or an updated version of one of their current A/T or M/T tires soon. Pictures look pretty aggressive.

 

Where did you see that? The Motivo All- Season is the only one I saw on their site.

 

Nitto posted some pictures on their IG.

 

Nitto just confirmed on their IG that it's the Terra Grappler G3. Tires look like a huge upgrade from the G2's.

 

i see it's 315/70 R17

but...a lightweight 37x11.50 R17 C load pretty please

 

Hopefully they are better. The G2's were horrible in the rain.

 

I've still never run a pair of Nittos.

 

I have not been impressed with the Ridge Grapplers that were on my truck when I bought it. They have worn quickly and I'm having to rebalance every 5K. 285/70/18 E

 

I've seen mixed reviews and they're pricey - or at least they were consistently among the most expensive tires to buy.

 

I liked the Terra Grappler G2 a lot aside from the annoying high pitched hum they had on the highway from day one. They were easiest to live with day to day out of the Trail Grappler, Ridge Grappler, and EXO Grappler AWT I have owned. They were the least "showy" tire and it's obvious that Nitto has gravitated towards prioritizing looks with how wild their sidewalls are on all their tires now. I'll be interested to see what these G3's are like, but their sidewalls are getting ridiculous.

Off road all of Nitto's offerings are pretty stellar in my experience but I've come to the realization I don't need mud terrains to drive forest service roads.

hoping for a 37 in load range C that slips right under 70 lbs and ill probably try them next time.

 

Really? Been running G2's in the PNW for a couple years, no complaints at all in the wet.

Another SL rated option for 275/70R18. Great, light weight option for these trucks IMO.

 

Definitely great to have more options in the SL range! Can’t wait for the pricing to be released next month.

 

Looks like they're gonna have a 275/70/18 in a 116T which should be a pretty light tire. May have to get these over Toyo O/C AT3 which only offers 265/70/18 as the largest in 116T

 

Yep, had NTG2s and they worked great for light rock crawling. Light since I'm not gonna go heavy....
Did well in the mud, of course good in dirt and gripped dry pavement like they were glued to it. HOWEVER, drove my beloved SR5 to Charleston SC from where I'm at in TN and wore myself out!! Good Lord that was a lot of work to muscle them around. Plain wore me the F out! When they were done I went with some AT something or others. Much easier on me and better gas mileage. Like maybe almost an entire 1/10th of a MPG better!! Lol.....

New pictures of the Terra Grappler G3's have been posted. I want to see them in person and update my G2's. Need some 35x12.50R20 or maybe some 295/65/20. Reviews are pretty good from the few I found on YT.

275/70r18, ~47lbs. On par with the Grabber ATX I just installed. Probably would have gone with the nittos if they were available a few months ago.

 

Hmm. 3lbs heavier than my current Goodyear for the same load capacity. Same weight as my current tire if I go with a load range c. I’ve run several nittos and like them. Have to wait and see how these work for some folks. Although with the amount I drive my tires will age out before they wear out.
