    Hello,
    First post here.
I have a 2013 Sequoia SR5. It has the basic stock radio.

I find that I must turn the volume almost all the way up to max to hear the music over the ambient travel noise of the vehicle on the road (i.e. not kids or conversation).

Could my amp be blown? Where is the AMP and is it easy to investigate or check out? I verified the AMP fuse is in tact.

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.

Did it just start to happen or has it always been that way?

My mom had a 12 sequoia with jbl. I remember that system being an absolute joke. If the amp was blown, you wouldn’t get any sound at all. It’s just a crappy system.

Ours sounds pretty good and it's non-JBL.

Historically, the non jbl system sounds better than the “upgraded” jbl.
