Software update

Has any one successfully done the software update on their AirPlay screen? I got the message this morning on my 2022 TRD Sport. I red a few people on Reddit claiming they had issues. Naturally, I am a bit apprehensive.

 

Mine updated this past Sunday, no issues or problems. I believe there’s a thread on this already, you may want to try a search for it.

 

Not sure what Airplay is but if you're talking about the infotainment unit.

Yep, I got Update 2170 today. Pretty cool having the sidebar stay up with Apple CarPlay

I use android. Mine tried to update 2 times. Showed error message. Woke up next morning got in truck backed out of garage. It started updating completed in about 10 minutes. Just wanted everyone to know, day before I received an error message.

 

Do you have the sidebar like the photo above?

 

If you click on the double arrow it will switch to full screen, removing the sidebar.

 

I got error messages all day Sunday then it downloaded on Monday morning with no problems.

I was initially upset with the update because I almost never use the Toyota side bar and it was just taking up screen space. I was relieved when I realized a full screen button got added to the CarPlay. Back to the useless, subscription required, buttons being hidden. I think it was a ploy to encourage people to want to buy their subscription.

 

I have a 22 tundra here in Canada and I have not been able to update HU software since 1040 a year ago . “No updates available “ I have gotten the Cannot update software with error 101 a few times . Even reset the unit twice . Now when I insert blank usb it doesn’t even let me download software version on usb.

 

I got the notification a day or two ago but just did it this morning. The HU went from 2050 to 2170.

It definitely fixed an issue where one or two local, non-HD station's RDS data wouldn't display, even though it displayed just fine in my wife's 2016 4Runner. Mine's a 23 and I use Carplay instead of Navigation, so I'm not sure what else may be fixed.

 

updated yesterday and now my carplay won't even hook up, tried to reset and forget device still no luck. iphone 15 pro max, will try to log out of toyota account and log in again today.

Hello, anyone figured out how to get rid of that annoying side bar? There are no max/min arrows available..

 

Where do I find this double arrow?.that side bar is annoying lol
