    Edit: bought a crewmax lol

Looking for a low mileage replacement for my 2021 Limited Double Cab that was recently totaled. My truck had 25k miles and was magnetic gray. I had recently purchased an ARE canopy for it so interested in other magnetic gray double cabs that I can put my canopy on without painting but also interested in Army Green (a man can dream) and Barcelona Red. Not really set on any specific trim level. I would love to find a mag gray double cab TRD Sport. I am in the Seattle area but am not opposed to fly and drive home for the right rig.

Been scouring Autotrader and it seems like these things are getting harder to find and more expensive by the day. I saw a Certified 2020 Army Green DC TRD pro with 15k miles come up for sale down in Oregon a few weeks before my insurance claim was settled that sold in a day - that's real pain!

    Pic of old faithful

Carvana has a few DC's on there. Unfortunately the MGM is purchase pending. But, there is a Lunar Rock TRD Pro DC. Those are pretty rare.

I feel your pain. I went to Indiana from WA for a White TRD Pro DC with 20K miles on it. Paid a bit to much for it but it was super clean and exactly what i wanted. Could not do Lunar as my neighbor had a Pro CM in that color. 2nd Tundra for me, love it especially after bigger tires and slight suspension mod. GLWS!

I keep going back to that ad for that Lunar Rock one but something about it doesn’t give me the warm and fuzzies. I briefly looked into some Carvana reviews online and of course like anything you read online there were countless horror stories. I’m sure if it was local or even if there was just like a sales guy I could talk to about it I’d be all over it but something about the cryptic nature of their website just doesn’t sit right with me. I’ll probably regret not jumping on it as soon as it sells lol

I don’t disagree with you about Carvana. Not very transparent. But so many people are intimidated by the car buying process i think this outfit caters to that demographic, the lowest common denominator.

But note, that the Lunar Pro DC they have is showing as now as available on Carvana. Scoop it up!

I've bought two trucks from Carvana.
I was very hesitant buying the first one, for sure. Read all the reviews and all that. But, decided I'd give it a try, because it was Covid time, and there wasn't anything new on the dealer lot to buy. So, I looked for the lowest mileage truck I could find. Found one, 2020, with barely 2k miles.
The first truck took a couple extra weeks to get the registration and tags. No biggie, they provided me with another temporary plate.
I had to buy the second truck, because like yours, mine got totaled. Everything was super quick on that one, no delay on the registration.
I used their in-house financing (their rates suck) both times to speed the purchase up, and then refinanced through my credit union immediately. Couldn't be any easier. It honestly takes a couple minutes to purchase. No bullshit from a salesperson, their manager, the F&I guy, nothing. Didn't even talk with a single person, except the delivery guy, when they come to drop off. You get to inspect it, and test drive it. If you decide you like it, you sign the paperwork. Then you have seven days or something like that to return it if you feel it isn't for you.
Second truck (2021) had a tad under 14k miles. Neither had any issues what so ever. I'd use Carvana again any day.

I recommend it to a coworker, and he's now bought a couple Camaro's from them. No issues.

Welp, that’s all good insight but that truck shows purchase in progress now! The hunt continues

I'm not surprised. Those Pro DC's are incredibly rare. And in Lunar Rock, even more rare.

How much did insurance give you for your truck?

I know I’m surprised it took as long as it did. Figured it would’ve gone right away but I think it was up for over a week. Someone else probably heeded your advice on here and jumped on it. Oh well, the search continues! Luckily I have a work van so I’m not super pressed. Would like to have a rig to get back to camping and fishing before summers over but we’ll see.

Some of the prices are pretty crazy. Honestly, if mine gets totaled again, I probably won't be buying another used Tundra. And definitely wouldn't buy a 3rd gen. I'd be taking a hard look at the other manufacturers with 0% financing. Or 1.99%.

Overall yeah within 500 miles on all the major platforms there’s like 40 total double cabs for sale in this area, not much to choose from. Many with 50k+ miles. I remember when I bought mine the only reason it was still on the lot was the manager said most people just don’t like doublecabs and the sales are likely 20% of crew max. Most of my truck friends have crew cabs, but theirs are mostly family haulers/daily drivers. I think the people that bought double cabs in 20/21 did so for a specific reason and now want to hold onto them.

That’s more than we paid brand new. Seems like a lot until you try finding a replacement. Good luck bud.

Yeah unfortunately they're few and far between. Found these 4 on Autotrader doing a nationwide search:

Decided I’ll see how the crewmax life is

2021 with 22k miles on it. Came with a retrax tonneau and what I’m pretty certain are Morimoto headlights. I’m so stoked!

Nice! Sweet looking pro. After having gone from a 6.5” bed to a crewmax I don’t miss it much tbh. The back seat is like the grand canyon lmao
