    Hi Everyone,

Was wondering would it be possible to have/install later generation Toyota brake controller to earlier models?

I own a 2008 SR5 4x4 Crew Max and was thinking of putting it in this area ( attached images )

I thought the integrated OE brake controller interfaced with the vehicle stability control etc? I'm not sure about that. However, you can get a Redarc system that integrates just as nice, and works great in my 2007. (Redarc Link)

Just stick a Tekonsha P3 in that little cubbyhole. It fits perfectly. You can get an exact length harness from Tekonsha that plugs right into the 7 pin wires under the driver side knee panel. Just need to drill a hole for the harness in the back of the cubby which pops out. You can also screw the P3 mount to the inside top of the cubby while it’s out so the P3 stays firmly in place.
