I have a 2013 Platinum Crewmax with the TRAC OFF light on, and 4LO blinking. Its showing me the following codes: P0121, P0123, P1604, P2135.
The 121 and 123 codes apparently are history codes. The 1604 is "Starting issue"... which to me is quite obvious. My engine cranks fine. Will not fire up.
The 2135 is the pedal sensor. Seems like an easy replacement if that is in fact all thats wrong.
My wife was driving it to the store. On her way back she had no acceleration. Engine ran fine. She shut it off, came and got me. When I went out there, I could not get it started.
Ive cleaned the throttle body. Even toyed with closing and opening the butterfly valve by hand. (If I hold it closed, it stutters like it wants to start but it doesn't.) Upon releasing the butterfly it dies immediately and just goes back to cranking.

Which said codes and warning lights on dash, could it be the pedal itself?
And would that even cause a "No Start" issue?

Does it have gas?? my fuel needle stops at a 1/4 tank full, so I try to fill it back up well before that... another troubleshooting method is jumping the relay, see if it starts that way.

Yes, it could be that simple.

I filled up the day before. Drove it home. Wife drove it 2 miles. So still (practically) a full tank.

The pedal failing could cause a "no start" condition though? Wth kinda truck is this? Never heard of such a thing. Although, this is my 1st vehicle thats drive by wire. Every other vehicle Ive owned had a physical cable that pulls the butterfly open.

No more carbs, no more plug wires. These are modern computer controlled machines. They run through a series of checks at startup and a number of things can prevent a start. Sensors, controllers etc. The gas pedal is not a pedal any more, it's a switch that tells the computer how much and when. If the switch fails, the computer doesn't know what to do. Is this your trucks problem? Not sure that's the case, but it warrants looking into.

you might try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting. It may fix the the no start issue enough to get home.
