Ya this past weekend was brutal. I was having ptsd looking outside to make sure my truck was still good. The rain just never let up. Tons of damage done in local towns. Roads washed away, houses taken off the foundations/knocked down. It's going to take a while to repair everything. I have never seen weather like this around my area.

Insurance paid 10K. Lots of hail-like damage/dents. Branches shaved off both side view mirrors. Repainted 75% of it, but zero broken windows (although they replaced front and rear for the paint). They pulled the box off to spray the back of the cab.

Went to gas, selected the 91 button and filled up. Then some homeboy approached me and asked to trade a knife he had for some cash to get gas. Told em sorry I only had a card. Gas filled, I printed the receipt and see it fucking filled my whole tank with 85 octane. Looked at the pump and sure as shit somehow it was on 85, even though I pressed the 91. Glad I printed the receipt for I would have never known. And if homie didn't approach me I may have caught it. So pay attention out there and always print a receipt. And yes I'm knocking with the slightest boost per scanner. So gonna have to drive like I'm driving miss Daisy smh

I may have to find some of this stuff. The slightest throttle into boost and I have knock feedback. Any auto store carry?

Disregard, looks like Amazon carries it.

You might be able to get away with just zip tying the bypass open so that you are not able to get into boost. Shop did that to mine and drove it that way to the tuner to stay out of boost. Maybe someone else is able to confirm this method will work for you, I just recall that's what they did on my truck.

I was gonna say the same, boostane or secure the bypass somehow. I have heard boostane can cause an orange buildup on the spark plugs but I’m assuming that’s with frequent use. I want to get some to keep in the truck when traveling like @HulkSmurf14 said but have been putting it off for no good reason.

This would be a good idea, if feasible, for when you absolutely can't get out of letting someone whom you'd really rather not let drive your truck, drive your truck.

Only place in Denver I can find it is at some weird shop per boostane's locator. Amazon carries it though but it won't be here for a few days. Thanks @HulkSmurf14 for the heads up, have some en-route for emergency now.

Save it as a separate tune labeled "I derpped at the gas station". Then once you burn this tank off and get the correct fuel, flash back to what you're currently running.

I guess you don't have to but trims will probably go positive for exhaust isnt as restricted. I was tuned around a blown cat, so I had to.

Okay dudes since I had a short day for inspections I decided to give draining 85 out of the tank a whirl. There is no way to syphon, confirmed a screen at the filler on top of tank. But if you pull the starter relay label ST, and use the fuel pump relay as your switch to run the fuel pump it works perfectly. You want to pull the top fuel line underneath and stick a hose in the connector, approx 3/16" or so diameter. Shove it in, make sure it's tight and other end into whatever your transferring too. I decided to fill my apprentices car and my work truck. I was able to drain my entire tank with this method. Now on to get some premium.

Nice! that should come in handy for anyone doing a pump upgrade, needing to drop their tank, as well!

Maybe deserves a page 1 sticky

Yes sir this would be great for anyone upgrading the fuel pump. It literally had a full tank, took about 25 minutes through a little hose to completely drain a 38g tank.
