    Hi All,

Just picked up a 2010 Tundra with 148k miles. The previous owner could not remember if a transmission flush was done. I stopped by the Toyota dealership and they recommended a high pressure flush for about $600. The transmission feels great but what's the recommendation:

    1. Hight pressure flush.

    Or

    2. Drain and refill and if oil looks good do the flush down the road.

    Txs!

#2 with a sample sent to Blackstone. Wait about a month for the results. This will be used as guidance for further drain/fills.

D&F 3 times, each about a month apart...then yearly thereafter. Works good...

Don't do a high pressure flush, they're known to fuck the trans up. Usually when people refer to a flush on the forum it's where you have the truck running and continually refill the pan while having one of the return lines disconnected and emptying the bad fluid into a bucket. Either do that or a drain and fill, I would do the drain and fill every couple oil changes and it'll get some fresh fluid in there and is easy to do.
