Man, that's kinda wack. But is there anyone else that can do it? My main concern wouldn't be getting the money back, although I'm sure your window is potentially diminishing with each month. My concern would be burning bridges with the one person who may be capable.

If there's another person, and there's no tangible loss for cancelling, I'd tell him it seems like it can't be done and you need to cancel.

I sent his this email today

We'll see if I get a reply by Monday.
Basically if I'm not satisfied with the reply, I'm going to try to talk to PayPal about it and if I have to, put the dude on blast. I'd much rather be civil, but this is getting ridiculous.

I haven't pushed it with Brandon because I think my timing belt tensioner crapped out within 30 minutes of first run after TB replacement it may have jumped time possibly bricking my engine.

I found that the bolt hole for the tensioner pulley was stripped when I was installing the new TB components, so I did a heli coil. Pretty easily done with the help of very experienced mechanic.

hopefully that's not what happened, but I can't come up with any other reasonable scenerio given what happened

about to dig into it and get to the bottom of it tomorrow and Tuesday Not gonna lie - I've been nauseous about it and have been dreading it. Especially since after the timing belt change it got rid of so much chatter that I thought was valve noise. I believe it was some of the pulleys and the fan being loose due to a missing stud and a loose nut. There were only four stud/nuts, holding the fan in place to begin with Just confirmed to me that the engine was in great shape as I expected. I've always maintained it and now it was very quiet for the age and mileage.

Man, I hate to hear this. I'm gonna let Keith Carty know as well since he recommended him and in my small sampling, I was cautiously concerned with a couple of issues. I don't even think I put 100 miles on it before I started my timing belt replacement

Well if Keith vouched for him maybe he can shed some context. The other guy runs VF tuning? I think most only tune vvti, maybe allow a hair more timing. With the motor being spread out amongst a few platforms im surprised their are not a handful of options.

I once saw a australian company claiming to have lots of experience tuning the 2UZ. But cant speak from first hand experience.

Did you ever get your ECU/ECM?

I'm having problems with mine. Extremely erratic idle. Some of it started immediately upon install. But I've had so many mechanical and health issues that I don't think I've Even burned a full tank of gas in three months

He's sending me a return label, but I'm hoping he will program my original factory ECU so I'm not dead in the water while I wait for him to send me another
