    Hello.

I have a 2004 Tundra SR5 AC and was planning on painting the fender flares black. I will definitely not be attempting to salvage the original rubber fender flare gaskets. I was wondering if anybody has had any success with the generic fender flare gaskets sold on Amazon. I was hoping I could just order these cheap generic seals instead of ordering the OEM seals. If you look at the diagram, there is no adhesive that makes contact with the vehicle, the adhesive looked like maybe it does in this picture of the OEM seals. Let me know what you think.

    Thank you!

Can't comment on the trim, since the fender flares between cab types and trim packages is so wildly different on these trucks, but I can say this: A lot of times, if you get your OEM part number, then go to www.rockauto.com and plug in the OEM part number, you can sometimes get comparable aftermarket much cheaper. I recently found a SIGNIFICANTLY discounted access cab body-to-door foam rubber seal, at $70 for both pieces to do driver/passenger.

Granted, I already get substantial 20%-60% discounts on OEM parts by shopping through https://autoparts.serratoyota.com ... with their free shipping and zero tax for non-Alabama residents, I can usually get OEM for half of what local stealerships want me to pay, and I don't need to buy shit products from scAmazon that will probably fail within a couple of years, when I could replace the OEM that lasted me 15-20 already.

I have the TRD (bigger) flares on my 03, and when repainting my truck used the exact gasket you linked above. It works and looks great.

Awesome, thank you! Just placed my order. I'll post some pics here when I'm done with this project. I got a few things besides painting the trim pieces I'm working on too.
