Sorry to hear about Ashley. That color seems like the obvious choice

I want to say we had a similar color in her room at our old house but it was a different brand and when I took a sample to Lowe’s, that was the color name that popped up.

Legitimately LOL'd at this. Our bathroom has 3 switches in it - one for the fan, one for the light, and one for a ceiling-mounted heat lamp (to keep it warm in the dead of winter).

My son *consistently* accidentally turns on the *heat lamp* instead of the fan when he takes a giant shit...who the hell wants to hotbox the bathroom after a giant shit? He does, evidently.

Just saw this, @IMXPLRN - my condolences (as someone who had this in 2014). Myself and some others have had that surgery done; if you need or want any recovery tips/tricks, let me know via PM.

That's pretty hardcore. Maybe he's training himself to become a Navy Seal or a Green Beret.

I hate painting, because I see every mistake, either as it's happening or after I put everything away. Hate it, to the point I rarely find the motivation to do it expediently.

But you know what I hate worse than painting? Paying someone else to paint for me, only to spend the next days/weeks/months finding similar and/or more mistakes than I'd have made, knowing I paid someone to do work below my level of ability, when they are the professional.

While painting sucks, like everything maintenance/mechanical/technology related, it's damn near impossible to find anyone out there who cares about your shit more than you, someone who'll do the job as if your thing is just as important as if it was their thing.

Every job I work on out in the field for others, regardless how much I'm getting paid for it, I treat it like it's my own. At the end of the day, the work I put into it is my own, and is a direct representation of my ethic and character. I think we've somehow lost that in today's world.

I agree. I figure why pay somebody to half-ass something for me when I can whole-ass it for free?

Thanks! I'm well on my way to being fully recovered. About a month more and then I can start strengthening it again. I have my full range of motion back, which is great. It's just a long process and I constantly have to remind myself that I'm not really supposed to lift anything with that arm.

Got a text today from mama bear today; the washing machine errored out on some rinse error. So I knew I’d probably need to clean out that thing that no one ever does……
Brought in the Milwaukee pack out vac and started sucking out the bottom port bleeder tube, I got about 3 gallons out.
The filter thing was full of “stuff” but I decided to peak down the dark hole………
Gold dollar fully blocking the pump intake!!!!!
Got some mechanics picks and gently worked it sideways and pulled it out(it was actually stuck pretty solid!)

Oh yeah, totally understand - and it’s great to hear that you’re doing well and that you have full range of motion! Somehow I was able to get full range of motion about the four week point…but it was like a solid 3 months before they would let me lift anything heavier than a coffee cup…and another 3 to 4 before they would let me lift pretty much anything unrestricted, slowly working up to max weight. About drove me nuts!

Finished painting and put the furniture back. Now I have to hook the electronics back up again and life will be good.

Romex rots in wet environments . If you put it underground it'll be junk in about 5 years. Next time use UF cable. :D
