I found this under my driver side dash. It has s button in middle with a what appears to be some sort of small port in front to plug something into. I have no idea what the wire in pic is going to, but it was plugged i to back of this little device. There is a small sticker underneath with a barcode and numbers.

any help identifying what it is, will be much appreciated.

Can you search google with the barcode and numbers? If you can’t, post them here and someone can do it for you

Did you buy the truck recently? It could be a GPS locater in case of theft.

I purchased the truck the beginning of September. I do not have an aftermarket alarm. It has the factory security system. These are the two stickers underneath cover that popped off and under device.

I unplugged it from the main box and then could not start my truck. I had to reinstall the F'ing thing to be able to start my truck. I do not know how to disarm it.

I do not have the remote that comes with the unit, just my OEM Toyota key fobs. Not sure what to do since it was wired ti interrupt ignition.

I've installed a few Karr alarms (in a previous life). To disable the ignition, the factory power wire to the ignition is cut and then spliced into the head unit, which I assume has a relay of some sort, activated by the remote.

Depending on how well the alarm was installed & camouflaged, you might be able to identify this and resplice the factory wire back together. If you don't feel comfortable doing this you should be fine plugging it back in, tucking it back behind the dash and forget about it. Without the remote activation, the ignition should never switch over to disabled.

It's been about 25 years since I've touched an alarm system so things may have changed since then. And there's probably other ways to install them, different from what I described. Do your research, ask the dealership where you purchased it for help, and good luck. Hope this helps you with a starting point.

It’s probably a “programming” button. As in setting a silent or audible arm/disarm, disable alarm completely, etc.
