I have a 2011 5.7. When I purchased the truck in November 2019, I didn't have an issue with the rotors until last year when I finally had to replace them due to my truck shaking pretty bad. I purchased some "cheap" brand off rockauto, and they didn't last but a few months. With advice from mechanic friend, I went with Bendix (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1802408&cc=1447102&pt=1896&jsn=493). They lasted about 5 months, and I exchanged them for warranty with the same. After several months, my truck is shaking again. It's not the caliper. It's just the front rotors.

I'm not heavy on my brakes, and heard Bendix is a decent brand.

I'm trying to save money, so the budget friendly option but where I won't need to replace them after a few months advice is needed.

I'm looking at these now: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=7480744&cc=1447102&pt=1896&jsn=1

Anyone have another set off rockauto that'll work?

I stuck on a set of Detroit Axle versions from Amazon. They are drilled and slotted and come with new pads.

I'm rolling up on 30k miles with no issue. If they warp tomorrow, I'll buy them again .

Are your pads wearing fairly evenly?

I am wondering if a caliper is not releasing properly, causing the rotor to get warm?

I would try Bosch or Advics rotors. Advics will be the same as Toyota OE. Both available from Rockauto.

Well, my original pads and rotors made it quite a while, but I never thought they were anything special, so I threw a dart and tried out the above.

I do a lot of heavy towing, so I take the brakes very serious.

These do the job very well.

I'm sure there are better and more expensive options, but I'm happy so I'm not going to try something else.

So, you have gone through three sets of rotors in a year. The likelihood that the rotors are the problem is incredibly small. While a cheap rotor may not last as long as a good one, it doesn’t cause shaking. A defective rotor would have the problem from day one, not after 5 months of use. Sorry, but something else is causing this, even if it shows up on the rotor after a few months.

I just ordered OEM from Sparks - $75 each. The first set has gone 8 years and 107k miles - good enough for me to get more.
