I mean, a k-series would be more reliable and create better power numbers.

And it has 2 less cylinders LOL

Mechanical injection and low peak torque rpm would be what i’m looking for.

For inline or v6 engines, stay away from any straight thru designs, such as maganflow. Drone and crappy sound.

Chambered mufflers do much better on these engines, so yes, 50 Flowmaster will give some deeper tone and gurgle without the rasp and rice sound.

When it comes to stock yes honestly. The 2uz is limited to like 7 psi max boost before a skinny weak ass rod breaks. You'd need new rods and to convert to 4 bolt mains before making real power.

At the point it has a different engine in it, it's not a pure tundra, so I didn't mention it. But that doesn't mean I won't LS swap mine when the time comes ;)

The Summit site didn't give my Tundra as an option to pick. I'll search through the forum to see if anyone else with the 3.4L Tundra installed it. Thanks!

Wow that's impressive! My biggest complaint with this truck is the power, especially with the MT. I feel like I have to get on it to not feel like a pig. Aside from the baffle, what would you recommend next for power improvements without spending thousands right now.

No, it's all pretty much going to be expensive. Most of the power mods require the supercharger first.
But the URD short throw shifter is easy to install and will make you shift a little faster.

    Nobody needs to shift faster.

@jsvwx its a truck, let it do truck things. Take your time, and everything (parts, brakes, gas, tires, etc) will last longer.

or swap in any v8 and have the coolest 1st gen tundra on earth.

Well I liked it on the T100. Also a good opportunity to replace the bushings while you're in there.

Sorry but no way an automatic V8 is cooler than my MT! I have a V8 Sierra and this Tundra is a toy with that 5 speed. Don't get me wrong, my truck is definitely fun to drive. Just would love to put a little more power into it without going broke!

4.30 gears or if you have bigger tires 4.56 gears would pair well. But it's not a cheap upgrade. 4.88 of you have 33's and up. The install is the expensive part. And with 4x4 you'll pay double for the parts and the install.

Maybe you would know what exactly is in my truck. I've tried searching it online and it says I have either the 4.30s or 4.56s. My door code reads A04A/R150F.

How to install a 99 Lexus LS400 obtained V8. And how to figure out your trucks axle gear ratio.

This link and most of the stuff I found online says I have the 4.30s but there are places online that say the 4 in A04A means 4.56. Can I assume it's one of the two?

4.30s were typically assigned to 4WDs especially those with Multimode (Limiteds).

Feature of the day borrowed from the LC Prado. It allows 2wd - AWD and 4WD. The only downside is to achieve the 3 - they moved the locker from the rear diff to the center diff. So now front to rear axles are locked but each axles wheels still can slip on each other. Does very well in sand ice snow.

Last the last central Tx icestorm in 2022 - I rode to get my son about 30 miles away whose power went out for a few days. Along they way there are several moderate hills. Saw over a dozen Jeeps stranded and abandoned on roadsides along with the expected minivans - light 2wd trucks but did not expect to see 4wd Jeeps at all. The Runner just breezed thru it like nothing cruising 30 mph LOL.
