That's never going to work. It's contaminated with nasty Dasani water residue now. That report's coming back red ;)

My samples have usually taken about 2-3 weeks from me sending it to getting the report.
Super interested to see what they say. Every time I send them oil they say to go on a longer interval. First sample I sent was a 4500 mi OCI, then 6400 - on the last one they said to try 8-9k. I’m gonna give that a shot since I have to get the engine swap done by next February bc CA won’t let me re-register it with the recall open next year.

Turn around times should be less now that Blackstone increased their prices to 40 bucks a bottle. Yeah, don't drain a sample in to any container than the one they provide. It's said to cause premature engine failure from machining debris.:crapstorm:

The oil was to hot when you put it in the plastic bottle as evidence by the bottle deforming. It’s good enough for metals content, but other possible contaminants might be suspect. Make sure to post that as a disclaimer with your results.

Sure is nasty looking at 10K miles. I can’t stand it at 5K. Thanks for holding true to the design spec to see how it performs. Anxious to see the BStone report along with your prev history.

The one time I did 10k it was the foulest smelling oil I have ever encountered. I resolved to never do that again, until now but my new engine is on its way so I am not sinking any value or maintenance into it at this point.

Awesome. Would love to see it. Interested to hear if Blackstone thinks hot oil into a Dasani bottle will contaminate the sample with microplastics. I would assume it’s not going to mess with the metals content, but who knows?

Would you mind kindly dropping your high mileage oil report in this thread of oil reports for ALL generations of Tundras?

According to Grok, Americans consume 74k-121k particles of microplastics each year. :eek2:

I've performed 12 total oil changes in 3 years
& 120k+ miles, every 10k like manual states

Never did any early oil changes either
(On all my previous new toyotas I did the oil at 500 & 1000 miles, then went to the standard every 5k)

Never noticed a foul smell btw
Maybe next time I'll take a better smell sampling....hehehe
