On my 23 limited, it states that it has automatic dimming mirrors. I find them to be very useful when driving on the highway with some clown behind me with highbeams on. However, I only noticed that I have them in the rearview mirror and the driver side, but not on the passenger side mirror. You can see the difference in the pictures, the ones that are dimming have a small border. Is this for all tundras or is this due to possibly the glass mirror being replaced with aftermarket one with previous owner?

When I saw this a year or so ago mentioned on the forum here I went and looked at my window sticker and it had something like "auto-dimming side mirror" and didn't have an "s" at the end, so sneaky sneaky little bastards. I believe early 2022's said mirrors on the window sticker and I think Toyota revised that because people were like it says right there mirrors not mirror.

My 22 GX was the same. No dimming on passenger side.

Not really. It's pretty standard across a lot of different manufacturers.

Since we’re on the topic of mirrors, how come sometimes when I reverse the side mirrors tilt downwards, and sometimes they don’t? This is based on the angle of the truck?

    Factory installed self-destruct device :D

Check the mirror select switch position. If it is on the right mirror select then reverse will dip it down.

Likely due to the mirror selector being on one of the sides instead of the neutral position. At least in my M3, that's the case.

Normal one or digital? I love my digital mirror at night.

Why sometimes when i start the truck and the mirrors open up, the right one always in its normal position, but the driver one does this sometimes. Goes way beyond the tilts outwards.

That's wild. I've never seen this before on any car with power/auto folding mirrors.

Also, when you're in reverse, you can adjust the mirrors to how you'd like them when shifting into R and they'll be remembered.
