My truck was hit in while parked back in May of last year. The driver just walked away like nothing happened. He didn't leave any notes. The damage seemed minor but it was around $3K. Thanks goodness for the video. I was able to get my deductible back from my insurance company.

    Cool will do.
Does your parking mode start recording when it senses movement? Or is it recording all the time your parked?

Records when it senses movement. Did you get a backup power pack? You don't want to drain your main battery.

Under driver's seat with some Velcro to keep it in place. Nothing fancy.

Cool and did it come with wire long enough to reach the fuse box. Or you had to get it.

That's cool, I didn't know it existed. My truck has been hit twice! And, a door ding. Would've been nice to have.

im glad it worked out for you. Why would someone leave is beyond me. Taking responsibility for one’s actions is a basic principle. I recently got a dash camera and I keep parking mode on even in my driveway

FYI, this is a really old thread. The last response before yours was from 2018, and the OP that you are tagging hasn't been on the site since 2020.

That's not to say responding to an old/dead thread is a bad thing, just letting you know you may not get any kind of a response from him.

    I highly recommend dash cams!

I live in the Atlanta area. Ads for scumbag ambulance chasers are absolutely everywhere-and those ads heavily imply that anyone who gets into a wreck is gonna come out stinking rich.

People will TRY to get into fender benders with you. They will lock eyes and pull smack out in front of you.

    Dash cams are great!
