This question has come up several times so i thought i would add the location and some information on the interior accessory fuse box.

The fuse box is located under the drives side footwell area. You will have to get on your back on the floor and look up. No need to remove any dash components.

The fuse box has a cover on it that looks like this:

Here is the fuse box with the cover off:

Here are some helpful links related to the fuse box:

    Hi All,

I went to the dealership yesterday 4/5/16 due to all 4 cigarette lighter outlets not working (fyi my USB outlet works great).

There are 2 under the radio and A/C controls area, 1 in center console, and 1 for the back seat.

Service Writer told me I blew 2 fuses - the 15A PWR OUTLET and 15A CIG.

No sooner than I left the dealership, I plugged in my cheapo phone charger and blew them again!

I got under the kick panel and pulled the blown PWR OUTLET fuse.

Is the center console on a separate fuse on a 2016? Are there any additional fuses linked to these damn cigarette lighter outlets?

    Thanks in advance :burnrubber:

PWR OUTLET is the only fuse to the cigarette lighters. I believe the cab lights are on this same fuse. Did you replace with LEDs where you could have bent a terminal and have a short circuit?

I just bought a 10 pack of 15A fuses. After work, I will test a different device other than the suspected phone charger. I am pretty sure it was the cheap phone charger.

I just bought it and suddenly now I have blown fuses where before, I did not.

installed led reverse lights and they stopped working as well as backup camera and gears PRND but S still works when shifted into that gear. Sounds like a fuse was blown but don't know which one...

@Sean266 @csuviper @bobeast I'm looking to add a dash cam and hard wire using an add a circuit. Do you guys know which one to use for the cab fuse panel? Thinking it is the ATM mini blade type?

Question: What is the difference between the ATT and the ATM style. I thought we had ATM fuses, but that ATT looks the same.

Thank you for this post. I have installed a Light bar and run the wires through fire wall. But, now I want to change the supplied switch to a more stock switch that I bought from aironboard. I just don't know where to add a circuit in the fuse box in order to illuminate the switch. I want it to work like the other switches in the truck. Thank you in advance!

For the AirOnBoard switches there is no need to tap into the fuse box. Every switch on your dash has an illumination wire, so just tap into an adjacent switch using a small PosiTap.

Thank you for the reply. I don't have a positap....only have a "add a circuit". So having that, where would you recommend I place it?

You'll want to tap into the 7.5A "Panel" fuse as shown on your fuse box cover.

Does it have a clear title? Can you return it? There is no way I would buy a truck with any type of electrical issues. You'll be chasing those down forever.

    Sorry to see that dude.

If you purchased from a dealer they have to disclose if it was in a flood. You should take it back there and get them to inspect and fix if its minor. If in a flood that could be a serous claim against them.

Oh man.. I have seen some tap connectors but I was unaware of these PosiTap ones.. Geez those things look fabulous (watching some youtube demos) ... Also the PosiLock ones..

Many thanks! I will make use of these soon.. I plan on adding some USB charge ports.

I am doing the same. I was going to use the blue wire? on a neighboring switch for illumination vesus a add-a-tap.
