Georgia is finally passing hands free law starting July 1st. What do you guys/gals have or recommend as a holder/clamp/magnet/ for your cell phone. Been looking around and looking at the one for the cup holder. Let me know! Thanks!

I got something that clips to the visor like this (not this exact one)
I like it as it keeps the phone off the dash - i dont like glue/tape on my dash... it gets hot here and stickey usually doesnt like hot...
It's up out of the way, comes off easily (when i want it to)
I can see it when i want to by just glancing up there.

honestly I dont use it much. My phone sits on top of the center console. I set up the music before I take off and I dont really touch it or look at it until i'm parked. I'm 33, but remember a time when people couldnt get ahold of you anytime anywhere - so i dont think it's a big deal to wait until i get to where i'm going to get back to you (call or text). The only call I usually answer while driving is my wifes. and the steering wheel controls are good enough for that. The steering wheel controls are also good enough to control the music (skip song). Really the only time I use the mount is if I'm using my phone for navigation for some place i'm completely unfamiliar... if I'm some what familiar with the area the voice turn by turn is good enough.

I added a small piece of 3M double-sided tape where it touches the chrome ring to make it even more secure.

I’ve read the magnetic ones that stick a plate to the phone/case may or may not interfere with a desktop wireless charger. And I have a nice Caudabe Lucid case, so I prefer not to stick anything on my X.

I’ve got a setup similar to this. I use a Rokform case with a built in magnet. I got it specifically to use a mount on my bike. It came with a magnetic car mount as well. It’s just a magnetic disk that you can put anywhere. It’s easily the best phone holder I’ve ever used. In the 4Runner we have a ProClip mounting bracket with a Rokform magnet stuck to it. Same affect but works good in the runner as there’s less space.

Yes. It keeps the mounting plate recessed enough so that it does not interfere with normal activity such as sticking in pocket and such.
