I'd like to make my fogs and headlight ambers into drl instead of the head lights.

Not sure if this solution to the leaky back Access Cab windows has ever been detailed, but I think I found the culprit (at least one of them). Its the rear slider window track when it gets gunk build up which clog the weep holes, that overflows into the cab and down the back wall behind the back seat. The water ends up in the rear corners of the cab on the carpet. See pics.

Rear track inspection. Yep goop. Hmmm let me pull it up and see whats under.
    upload_2018-12-16_18-54-15.jpg

Let me pour some water in this water channel with the dirty track out of the way. Yep clogged.

    upload_2018-12-16_18-57-17.jpg

Lets poke the weep holes in the bottom of the track with a sharp pointy rod and scrape out the goop with a cloth and screwdriver.

    upload_2018-12-16_19-0-10.jpg

Lets clean out the rubber track holes that were clooged.

    upload_2018-12-16_19-2-3.jpg

Now lets flush the track and see what happens. Yep. Water in channel is no longer overflowing towards the inside of cab. An inspection of the outside of window rubber gasket reveals success! Water is flowing out from bottom of seal into the outside.

    upload_2018-12-16_19-4-55.jpg

Put it all back together and spray the rubber components with PB Silicone.

Got the windshield eyebrow tinted, removed factory steps. Just pulled into the garage to remove the sticker on passenger window and for some way

Went ahead and caulked the rear gasket (top only) and the top track trims on both sides front to back.

Blue tape is your friend. Used Liquid Nails ‘Fuze’. Nice color match.

Big Box has the ‘Fuze’. It yours isn’t leaking, then a few dabs along the track should be good. This stuff is perfect for auto repairs. Flexible, yet strong. Bonds to wet surfaces too.

I went over kill on todays ‘waterproofing’ project. This leak has been around for a few years (off and on). Hope everything done today got it.

I think they are close but they will not match up perfect from what I’ve heard. There’s some topics that have referred to this.

Anyone with some rust scale starting around their rear cross-member, or wanting to prevent rust on a new(er) frame: Buy a grease needle and insert it into the crevices/cracks where your frame overlaps and pump loads of grease where ever you can. I’m using moly-lith grease, then following up with PB Blaster Penetrant with a straw and squirting it into those same cracks that have already been loaded up with grease using the needle.

The grease acts like a dam/seal, which locks in the PB Penetrant, thus flushing/bathing the vulnerable spot in petroleum distillates.

Note: This will not cure holes in frame or severely rusted frames. In my case, I noticed some minor scaling where the rear cross-member ties into the frame side channels and decided to take action using the tactics above. My frame has already been through Toy recall with no problems (no holes) and they sprayed the rear half with the black tar coating at the Stealership. This scaling isn’t addressed in recalls.

Stealerships coating ‘fix’ isn’t going to stop the scale from worsening at this critical area of the cross-member tie into the frame. My fix will.

See the grease squeezing out of the overlaps. This is the second application of grease this year. Should be good to go for many years as this will prohibit future rust and lock out salts etc.

I've been trying to catch a glimpse of your hands ever since you joined this forum (back when I guessed it was a reference to all the pics members post that show only their hands), before I learned you were actually a @Professional Hand Model. Here I finally get a peek... and it has clothes on.

Good write-up on correcting the leak by clearing the channel of the window seal.
