I need to pass emissions. ENG LITE IS ON. Due to 02 sensor .
How can you tell if its upstream or downsteam and where are they on a 2003 Sr5

Wouldn't the code help you identify the correct one?

Yes. The code will tell you exactly what O2 sensor it is.

Although it may very well not be the sensor but the Cat if its a downstream one.

    Bank 1 = driver side(left)
    Bank 2 = passenger(right)
    Sensor 1 = upstream
    Sensor 2 = downstream

With those particular codes, I would take a look at the connectors and wiring of cam/crank sensors seen in @Aerindel drawing !
