My 04, access cab, interior door handle (driver's side) broke. The Toyota website has a bunch of different options listed as fitting this vehicle, but does not have pictures or descriptions as to what the differences are. I can see the color differences in the last two digits of the part number.
    1. Can anyone tell me what is different between a 69206-0C010-.. and a 69206-0C030-..?
    2. The sticker on my door says my interior color is "FB40." Using reference numbers, it looks like I should be using the part number ending with the color code E0 (oak), but when I try to look up "oak" color swatches, on my computer they look grey. My handles are a light brown or beige color. Does anyone know what color code handle I should use?
    3. I have seen the advice to stick with OEM parts, but for a door handle (since the OEM one broke, it can't be too high quality), is there any reason not to go with the cheap Amazon type? Price difference is from about $10 to about $40.
    Thanks.

If you register for the Toyota Owners website and link your VIN to your account, you should be able to pull the spec sheet, which may have more details on color codes.

As you'll find linked in the 4th or 5th paragraph of this thread, a link to the Major features by year which should have color codes and I think the last time I checked for my truck, it had swatches of colors but may be wrong.

Normally the color code and other special attributes are in the "ZZ" position of the part number where a normal part number is XXXXX-YYYYY-ZZ. For interior parts, greys are normally "B#" (b0, b1, b2) and browns are normally "E#" (e0, e1). Best bet is to search for a comparison on fleaBay, but don't buy the part there, there's no guarantee it's authentic, regardless who you believe is selling it and what their reputation may be.

With the number variation being in the 9th and 10th position ("10" vs. "30"), I've typically seen that being a difference in year or cab type, where the part with "0c010" is for one cab type with one type of door, and "0c030" is another cab type with a different door. And/or power locks vs. manual locks, etc. You get the point, I hope.

If you buy any parts on scAmazon, even if they claim to be OEM, they will likely not be OEM, regardless which store you pick. What that ultimately means is, you won't get the same OEM quality which costs 2-3x as much, and as others on here have found, you'll be doing this same job again in 2-3 years when part fatigue ultimately kills your part. Handles die especially fast unless you lube things up, lack of lubrication is often what kills handles.

Lastly, the parts system did - at least in the old system, before it was replaced a month or two ago - tell you the part color as "oak", "fawn", etc.

Sometimes you can get lucky by looking around on the old part to fetch the part number... but they don't always have the two-digit color code designation, sadly :(

PS - if I were you, I would use the Ruskie website here: https://toyota-usa.epc-data.com/tundra/

Plug your VIN into the system. Click on Body and Interior.

Then click on Front door & lock handle.

Click on the reference number pointing to the door lock assembly.

It should return a page showing the correct part number for YOUR TRUCK, with the color code associated in the description.
