I need to replace my tank in my '04 double cab. I found a one from a 05-06 trd. Complete with pump and filler necks and wiring.

I've hit Google and the site search bar and nothing but extended range topics come up.

I'm going to grab it anyways but if someone has any experience or insight lmk!

I know the pump/pump assembly is different for 05-06. Whether you could swap your old pump to the new tank I don't know.

I assume the tank itself would mount up with the 05-06 straps, but whether the lines/electrical would be the same I don't know.

I guess worse case you could replace the fuel lines with the newer style.

On the other hand aftermarket tanks are available for 04 style.

My plan is to adapt the lines and use the correct year straps.

In the rust belt if I can switch to plastic I'm all in !
