Hello, I have a 2006 Toyota tundra double cab I dropped the fuel tank to do some repairs and the fuel pump connector wires came out and I’m trying to figure out which wire goes in which connector pin slot anybody have any ideas? Here’s a picture of my connector.

You looked in the electrical wiring diagrams in the 2nd link, downloaded both EWD for your 2006, and you couldn't find the fuel pump wiring in the wiring diagram?

Wiring diagrams -> Open file Part 1.

Page 346 and 319 for Double Cab, it looks like access cab wiring is indeed different (colors) at least for the pump. So, for you ...

Light blue in position 5. White with black strip in position 4. Those are for the pump.

Brown in position 3. Violet in position 2. Those are for the sender.

Position 1 is plugged as shown.

Typically the position numbers are on the plastic connector, somewhere. In this case, I can see "2" is printed, see the circled number. We also know "1" is not used, thus it'll be the plugged one. That means the order should be as follows, but VERIFY WITH YOUR OWN EYES (look for numbers). Specifically, you'll want to check for a number 4 or number 5 below the larger wires.

    No problem.

If you didn't go with a Denso brand pump specifically, stop what you're doing, get a Denso brand pump, and replace it. You don't want to do this job again. Denso is the OEM, and a new Denso brand pump will last you another 15 years. We typically see parts store brands last 1-4 years on average here. That's only if they actually work when new, we've seen plenty of people install DOA pumps on here. They usually come asking, "Just replaced my pump ... still won't start!" or find misfires after.

And beyond that, don't buy parts on scAmazon or fleaBay. Knockoffs are rampant. Very, very convincing looking ones too.
