Wanting to level out my truck and noticed the rear measures 25.375” (center of hub to fender). This seems high from what I’ve read.

PS previous owner had these installed.

    Thank you!

Hmm, I am pretty sure there was no change in the rear height when I installed mine.

SSs are a good product, and very popular. If you're considering removing them in order to get to level, you might consider going the other way and raising the front to match the rear. That's what I did and I'm pleased with the result -- no sag when there's stuff in the bed now, and it does not feel like an unladen dump truck.

I actually thought of doing this. I’d really like to keep the SS, as they keep the rear very stable. I could do 5100s at the top setting, with a .50 shim, giving me ~3” which would be awesome, but may kill ride quality. What is your lift setup? Any pics?

Forget the shim. The 5100 is already longer than OE on full compression, shim is just losing more up travel

in looking at your pictures i would definitely say they give you some lift, tundra springs are pretty flat, yours have curve

That is exactly what I did -- 5100s on the 2nd setting, a 0.25" CB shim, and Sumo Springs under the leaf springs in the back. Looks good, and rides great. Will try to snap a decent photo for you later.

so do you think the lift I’m seeing is from the OE Leaf springs or the SuperSpring helper springs ?

the superspring is definitely the lift. It is adding support and increasing the arch. I think its a good thing

Oh wow, that makes sense. And I’d agree it’s definitely a good thing!

@clarkritchie Do you think you'd feel much of a difference if the 5100s were on the top setting with the .5" CB shim? That's what I'd need to get it close to level.

Sorry, I really don't know. All I can offer is that when I was researching this, I found that people's opinions on the third clip were mixed -- e.g. some felt the ride quality was fine, while others argued the ride quality was too harsh. In contrast, people's opinions on the second clip being fine seemed sort of universal to me.

My F150 rode like a dump truck unloaded and I hated that, so I went straight to the second clip. I never really gave the third clip very much thought. I didn't want to try it, not like it, and then have to do it all over again, including getting another alignment.

To each his own, but having a little rake is not all bad. I mean, assuming you use your truck for truck things every now and then, I feel it looks dumb to be nose up in any situation. But that's just me.
