I picked up the Rough Country 1.75 Lift Spacers and am still debating whether or not to install them on my truck. I have a 22 TRD Off-road Crew with the 6.5 bed.

I know that there are several threads on this topic. I promise that I've read through them but there seems to be conflicting feedback. So I'm just trying to get clarification from people who have installed this exact kit.

    I have two main reservations.

First, I gathered from previous posts that installing the spacers shouldn't void the powertrain warranty, but gives Toyota room to argue that components directly affected will no longer be covered. I'm wondering how many people have experienced any mechanical problems after installing this kit? My truck is mainly used for normal street travel, trailer towing and light off-road.

Second, some people indicate that this kit levels their truck perfectly, while others suggest the the rear is low and then add the 1" Cornfed spacers. I'm wondering if the model of Tundra affects this? My 22 has the 18" off-road rims(which I'll likely keep) and has the 6.5' bed. Is there anyone with the same model that can tell me whether this kit will actually level my truck?

    I appreciate any helpful advice.

I put the 1.75" RC kit in and the first pic shows the truck very level. The second pic shows the drop with the 4,200 lbs trailer.

I have added a 1" spacer kit in the rear since these pics to help the rear come up a bit so it can be closer to level with the trailer on.

The ride up front didn't change but when I put the rear spacers in, the rear softened up quite a bit. It is almost like the rear shocks are too long and lifting them up gets them moving but I could be wrong.

Appreciate the response. Sounds like the kit worked as planned; your truck looks great! The levelled stance with the long bed looks solid. My trailer weighs 4500 dry, so this is a great frame of reference. This is definitely motivation.

I had a pretty similar experience to PBNB. The only difference for me is with a Crewmax 5.5 truck, I retained more rake with the RC leveling kit. To the eye, it looked level. But when you actually measure, I had 1/2-3/4" of rake. I still added a cornfed 1" spacer in the rear as I also didn't want too much sag when towing, plus I need the clearance backing trailers into my driveway so my hitch doesn't drag.

I have no complaints about the setup. Alignment went great once I got the dealership to actually try and the truck drives fantastic. I may eventually go to a dobinsons setup, or maybe the eibach kit when it gets released, but I am very happy with this setup in the meantime.

The lighting is terrible to show the rake, but it is approximately 1-1/2" higher in the back WITH the cornfed 1" spacer. Perfect stance for me.

I’m assuming that there’s no need for different cv axles or extended brake lines? How’s the ride compared to stock? Cornfed also has a 1/2 inch spacer, did you consider that?

My truck already has the red cv axles as it is an off-road. No need for extended brake lines. Even with the spacer on the rear shocks, I am no where near full extension of brake lines or abs/epb wires at full droop.

I don't notice any difference in ride. Feels the same as it did stock.

If I didn't tow my boat/RV, the 1/2" would be a good option, but I needed some extra height to battle sag when towing. I'm actually considering pulling the rear spacers and installing airbags, but I just don't want to.

My coworker put the RC 1.75 on his and leveled it perfectly. Mine sat lower in the rear, like others I added the 1” Cornfed rear.

looks good, but still looks lower in rear. i think the the 1" cornfed up front and keep back alone is best unless one was to go tru suspension

I have the 1.75 RC spacer. 5.5’ bed crewmax.
Mine came out exactly level to within 1/8th" all the way around.
Ride quality is not affected at all.

It seems like every truck is a little different.

I have limited Off Road Double Cab 6’5” Box. RC 1.75 and it needed the 1” CF in the rear to sit right.

Mine needed the 1” added to the rear visually. It measured near level without but I didn’t think that looked right. And I haul and tow often so needed rake.

I agree. As mentioned earlier mine is dead-on within 1/8", maybe 1/16". But as soon as I load something in the bed or hook a trailer then I realize that it would be better to have a little rake. I am considering the CF 1" spacer.

I have the RC 2” leveling struts. Like others here I added a cornfed 1” spacer to the back for towing. My TT is 5400lb dry, pretty heavy when fully loaded. I still get a bit of squat so may add bags down the road. Overall really happy with my setup though.

Here is a shot of the Tundra with 1.75" up front and 1" in the rear. There is about 150 lbs of stuff plus 150 lbs for the cover and rack.

Does your pre collision system work ok? My dealer says it would need to be disabled and I smell bull.

I would go with RC M1 adjustable shocks. You can go from 1 to 3in I believe. I took my leveling kit off. It made the front slightly higher. I actually like the natural look with bigger tires.

I had a dealer tell me that on my previous truck. They wanted to disable it even without my consent. I took it to another dealer (same dealership owner actually, just another location on the other side of town) and the service manager said there was no problem. He said that there was a waiver that I could sign that says that I take full responsibility, but after we talked and they did their service they either forgot about it or decided it wasn't needed, and I never signed anything. I took the truck back there regularly for oil changes until I sold it at 126k miles, and they never brought it up again.
    It was a 3/1 leveling on a 2018 Tundra.
