So picked up my new truck last night....love it... and then noticed this morning some unusual freckling at the top center of the display with an all white background. Am I correct in thinking these are dead or dying pixels? If so well that's a shame but it happens I guess. Has Toyota confirmed hat this is a known issue? I know I'm covered under warranty. Just annoying that near the whole dash has to come out of a brand new truck to fix it....

That, or it might be bubbles/debris under the factory screen protector. It is just a thin film you can peel off. I am leaving mine until it is completely wasted.

You both make a good point. I didn't check to see if the dealer did that already. I'll post an update after I check it out.

Take your truck back and see if you can trade it in for a 2.5 Gen Tundra. Hasn't anyone told you to never buy the first model year of a new design? Lord, I thought everyone would know better. I mean...have we not learned anything from the wisdom imparted on us by the 2.5 Gen owners???? :anonymous:

In all seriousness...it looks like debris to me since the size & shape of "freckling" isn't uniform. You can also see what it looks like with a non-white image on the screen to see if the pixels have the same behavior.

I tried with different backgrounds and it doesn't seem to have an issue with other color spectrums. Which baffles me because I should be seeing little to no color coming from them even on a different background.

I am having the same issue with my 1794 Edition 2024. Did you take your car to the service center? What was it?
